Hi everyone! It’s me Xeby-chan. I’m here to show you the new PSP Go. However instead of just showing you boring pictures, I decided to spice things up. With this new PSP Go introduction, I’ll be introducing a new segment called Nendoroid Theater. It’s simply where I’ll take pictures of my Nendoroid figures in small little skits and sketches. This is really just for the hell of it, and just for fun. If they are rather lame jokes or fairly choppy pictures, bare with me. I had to take a lot of the pictures fast, as I didn’t want to be too late in posting an un-boxing, so the lighting wasn’t the greatest. I really did have a lot of fun doing this, so I hope you all enjoy it.

Right now, I’m simply going to have to write the captions for the pictures beneath the pictures, because at the time I took the pictures I didn’t leave room for nay text bubbles and don’t know how to properly add anything like that. The captions for each picture will be beneath that picture, not above. Anyways, here you go. I’ll answer any questions in the comments.

Tsukasa: Hello everyone, it’s me Tsukasa and I’m here to show you the unboxing of the new PSP Go.
–

Tsukasa: With me today I have Miyuki helping out.
Miyuki: Hello everyone.
–

Konata: WOOT! PSP GO!
–

Tsukasa: Um…I thought I was doing the unboxing…
–

Kagami: Konata! Leave my sister alone, this is her segment.
–

Miyuki: That was exciting, although with Konata’s love of video games, why isn’t she doing this?
Tsukasa: My sister said she would scream too much…
Miyuki: Oh my, well let’s get started. We may need some help opening the box.
Tsukasa: Oh, I got someone to help with that.
–

Shana: Hiiiiiyaaaa~
–

Tsukasa: Thank you Shana for your help. With the box open, we can now see the new PSP Go.
Miyuki: It’s so shiny!
Tsukasa: It will never be that shiny again…
–

Tsukasa: Alright, I think we got everything out of the box.
–

Miyuki: My, there are certainly a lot of manuals and cords.
–

Tsukasa: Kyaa~ Miyuki, you got us tangled up in the power cord~
–

Tsukasa: Now that we’ve dealt with that, let’s show a side by side of the Go with the original 1000.
–

Miyuki: It’s so small!
–

Tsukasa: Well, we can’t do anything with it now, I’m going to plug it in to charge up and we’ll take a look at the accessories we ought for it. Miyuki, over to you.
–

Miyuki: Well here we have the AV Component cables and the charging cradle for the PSP Go. Oh my, these are always so hard to open. Um, can I get some help again?
–

Shana: This is no problem, leave it to me.
–

Shana: Hiiiiiyaaaa~
–

WOOSH
–

Miyuki: Oh my, very impressive. Although I think you went a little bit overboard…
–

Shana: hmmph, Sometimes I don’t even realize my own strength.
–

Primula: 7 points
–

Tsukasa: Gah, who was that?
Miyuki: My, I don’t know. But now that we have the debris taken care of, we can show these two accessories.
–

Tsukasa: Here we have the cradle
–

Tsukasa: As you can see it has the proprietary thing in the slot there.
–

Tsukasa: And in the back there is a spot for charging with either the old PSP charger, or the new one. Plus, you can use the new Go charger slot for the AV cables as well. We’re just going to hook up both, the old cable for charging and the AV cable for putting the picture on a much bigger screen.
–

Tsukasa: Here are the AV cables.
–

Tsukasa: And of course, before we begin, we have a memory stick to add even more space to the new Go.
–

Tsukasa: Let me just put that in there…
–

Tsukasa: Alright, with everything charged up we’re ready to see it in action.
Miyuki: It’s so fun to slide it up!
–

Tsukasa: Here’s the Go closed, in clock mode.
–

Tsukasa: And a shot of it in the cradle, in clock mode.
–

Tsukasa: Here’s the game load up screen. Konata and Kagami will be taking you through a quick demo of a game in action on the new Go right now.
–

Konata: Hello everyone, we are here to show you a game being played on the new PSP Go.
Kagami: I still don’t see why you need me…
Konata: Don’t worry about it, don’t worry about it. We are here to show Fate/Unlimited Codes.
–

Kagami: As you see here, we have the PSP Go hooked up to the cradle Tsukasa showed off, and we just paired it with a PS3 controller, so we get to play it on a big screen with a real controller.
–

Konata: We have it booted up on the screen behind me. Eagle eyed viewers may see the other two games we currently have installed.
Kagami: What’s a Patapon?
Konata: Don’t worry about it, don’t worry about it.
–

Konata: Ok, I’ll just go ahead and pick Saber.
Kagami: Um, I’ll pick the one with twin tails…
Konata: Going with another Tsundere huh? I see, I see……
Kagami: I don’t know what you’re talking about!
–

READY…FIGHT!
–

Konata: Prepare yourself!
–

Kagami: Um, I don’t know what I’m doing but I’ll try…
–

Konata: Let’s go!
–

Clash
–
–

Konata: I’m not done yet! SUPER EXCALIBUR!
–

WOOSH
–

Konata: Haha, I can’t lose!
–

Kagami: What the hell is that thing?!
–

Konata: DORYAAA~!
–

Kagami: That…that was totally cheating!
Konata: Don’t worry about it, don’t worry about it…

Kagami: Gah, who was that?
Konata: Don’t…
Kagami: Don’t say don’t worry about it!
Konata: Never mind, never mind…lets wrap this up.
–

Miyuki: Well, that’s it for the PSP Go unboxing.
Tsukasa: I hope you enjoyed it and found it interesting.
Konata: GO PSP GO!
Kagami: /sigh
Tsukasa: We’d like to thank Shana for making a guest appearance; we appreciate her help in opening the boxes.
Konata: It was quite fun, thanks to Primula too for her commentary…
Everyone: See you later!

I don’t do a post on every Megami I get, as I have a subscription and some are just alright, but I figured I had to post something on this newest one, as it’s the 10 year anniversary edition. This is issue 112, and if you have any bit of intelligence you can figure that with one magazine released every month, and 12 months in a year, tada, 112 would mark 10 years…(That was me being sarcastic, although the magazine says 10th anniversary, the math doesn’t make sense that way…)

This issue had quite a few goodies in it. It seemed to heavily focus on Nanoha, which I love. The excuse of course being the new movie coming out. I doubt they would have focused on Nanoha if it hadn’t, as it’s not like anything new besides the movie and game have happened in a while. Asides from the cover there is a big poster, both sides being Nanoha. There is a Drama CD and CD jacket, both Nanoha of course. A small removable manga, not just the one that is bound in, about Nanoha of course. And finally a Weis Swartz whatever card for the Nanoha movie.

As I said there is some coverage on the movie and the new PSP game, both which are coming out soon. I have to say I had kind of forgotten about the movie until this recharged my memory, and it does look like it will be interesting. The game, I actually had no knowledge about until this so it was quite a shock and joy to learn about it. I WILL be playing this game, despite region and language barriers.

The posters were pretty good, the ones featured in the pictures aren’t all of them of course, just some of the better ones or at least the ones of series I’m more familiar with.

Anyways, here are all the pictures:

The poster:

Several days ago I received in the mail my much anticipated Key 10th Year Anniversary Memorial Box. Now, I ended up procrastinating the pictures and the post until now, but figured I should still share it. I have to say I’m very impressed with how much stuff is in here. A lot of it is simply small things, postcards, alternate DVD box covers, and so on, but there were still quite a lot, so there are a lot of pictures I have to show.

Although some may dismiss the box, I didn’t have any of the games before this. I love Key enough that I figured I should have actual copies of the game, and seeing as how it’s not like Limited Editions of games are available for me, I figured this brand new box would be a great way to get the games, and given its an anniversary memorial box and not some random packing of the games together, all the better. Anyways, I’ll show the pictures now. It did come with 25 posters which I don’t have pictures of yet, as I’m going to put them in several frames, but I’ll point out what the poster pictures are.

Here’s the box itself and a picture of how everything was arranged. I actually took this picture after I pulled out and looked at the shirt so it was slightly different when sitting in there.

A shot of the box holding all the game DVDs.

Here’s a rather cheap looking mug, but it’s still a mug and it’s got 10th Anniversary Written on it, so that makes it rare, and that makes it good!

The T-Shirt which I quite like actually, simple, yet has a nice graphic of some characters plus identifying it’s from the memorial box.

The back of the shirt.

Here’s a sheet included that has, I’m assuming, signatures from key people at Key (pun somewhat intended)

These are the boxes the rolled up posters came in. I’m mainly showing them because as I said I couldn’t’ take pictures of the posters themselves, but there are 25 of them, one for each character to have their own long vertical poster. Most of the poses and pictures on the boxes here are what they are on the larger poster.

As you saw back with box containing the games, there is a small art book. Its quite interesting, it has a couple game CGs and what I really liked some rough sketches from the game.

What I thought was really cool was they included alternate covers for the games. I’m not sure if they are actual covers previous versions had, or they are just simply other covers, but they were very nice. I’ll show them right after showing the one the games came with. So the games and then the alternate covers are these next ones.

Well it’s always fun to get new anime items in, but it seemed like three separate orders of mine all arrived on the same day so it was quite fun getting all of this stuff at once, so I decided I’d share a bit of it. Here are just a couple of pictures of the stuff I got. I took the pictures rather fast, so they aren’t the best quality, mostly here to show what I got.

That first picture there of course is just the shot of all the stuff together.

Here’s just a quick shot of the figure, Subaru that arrived. I’ll eventually get better pictures of her, after I do the other thirty I have yet to do…

Here’s a shot of one of the three t-shirts I got, a K-On! one:

Then I got two Little Busters t-shirts, first one here is Rin. It’s kind of hard to see, the colors didn’t like the camera very well apparently:

Then the other Little Busters shirt, Noumi here, the colors pop with this one a lot more, plus…it’s a loli I can wear around. I like the way both of the Little Busters shirts are more than just a small block picture in the middle, it stretches a ways on the front:

Finally, my Maria dakimakura. Second dakimakura from Hayate no Gotoku I’ve got, Nagi is on backorder so I’ll soon have all of them.

Group shot of the two I have so far. I’ve got two other dakimakuras not pictured here, as I’ve posted pictures of them before. Just figured this would be the best, given they are from the same show and both in night time wear. I’ve got to say, I like Hina a lot more, something off about Maria’s face. Actually, I prefer the look of Maria’s maid uniform side, but prefer Hina’s night time side.

As I’ve briefly mentioned elsewhere, and as the title blatantly states, I just got in my first dakimakuras. Yesterday was just one of the best days I’ve had in a long time, with the arrival of these and several other various items, plus just getting a lot done. However the day definitely shone brightest because of these new companions.

I received three dakimakuras in the mail today. Nanoha, Fate, and Hinagiku. I have two more dakimakuras on backorder at HLJ, Nagi and Maria, and I plan to eventually purchase Hayate (Nanoha’s Hayate) in the months to come. I had previously, before these arrived, bought two body pillows from Bed, Bath & Beyond and I ordered one of the official Cospa pillows as well.

More after the jump.

As for the actual pillows, I have to say I prefer the much cheaper and easier to obtain B^3 pillows to the Cospa one. Although the Cospa pillow, as seen in the picture below, is slightly longer it’s not enough of a difference to notice. The main thing about these are that the B^3 pillows are much thicker. They aren’t as flimsily as the Cospa one. If I were to grab the Cospa pillow by the middle and hold it up, the sides would flop like it was just a cloth. However the B^3 pillows will keep their form.

You can see here a bit, the Cospa pillow in the front, lies lower than the B^3 pillow. I will probably choose to not even use the Cospa pillow and go buy another B^3 one, as they are only 20 bucks.

Anyways, enough about the pillows, the covers themselves… The Nanoha and Fate ones are made of satin which give them a much shinier appearance and are smoother to the touch. While the Hinagiku one is made of a polyester/cotton blend and looks rougher but is more durable. Right now, I don’t’ really have a preference. Although Satin is smoother and a bit softer, the colors on the Hina pillow are just mind blowing. The printing is nice on the Nanoha ones, but not as bright and colorful as Hina so right now it’s about a tie. It’s not like I could do much about them anyways, as I didn’t have a choice as to what material I wanted with what girl.

Here are some more shots of the covers. Some with the pillows in them, some without. The photos aren’t the best quality, as I wanted to get these shots done as soon as I could and there was no outside light to accompany me at the time. Plus the Satin material is very quirky when it comes to light and photographs.

Here are some shots of Nanoha.

Aw, they are all love-love together.

Here’s a shot of all three. Hina…you should know better than to get between the two lovebirds. No wonder she is embarrassed.

Well that’s it. Overall I’m really happy with them. My only concern is on washing them. No, not from that, just normal sweat and facial oils. If the need ever arises where I have to get it washed ill probably take it to the dry cleaners. Anyone else with advice for washing or just general advice on dakimakuras in general?

I recently just received in the mail my copy of Sacred 2, sent for me for free in order to review by the people over at Rocket XL. This is the second game I’ve been sent to review, the first being Blue Dragon Plus who’s review is already on the site under the Video Games category.

Anyways, all I really know about Sacred 2 is that it’s a role-playing game similar to Fable and kind of Diablo. You pick a class and run around doing quests and some of which are tied to a story progress while the others are just for better items. I hope to play though the game thoroughly but fast. However I have a feeling that with games like this it’ll take me a while because I have a tendency to do absolutely every little tiny insignificant quest, but look forward to the review when it comes out. Here are some shots of the game and of some of my new, um… “companions”, playing it.

The game box and disc.

More pictures after the jump.

A poster sent to me with the game, came outside the box in the envelope so may be an extra I got because I’m reviewing this.

And a shot of Nanoha cheering Feito on…(Oh yes, I have them – Post will be up soon with full pictures of Nanoha and Feito)

Well as I’ve mentioned before, other than collecting figures the only other anime merchandise I really purchase would be art books. (Well, other than the five dakimakuras I recently bought, more on that later when some of them arrive in the mail) A while ago I was just randomly searching through some sites that sell anime goods when I saw a Noizi Itou art book I had not encountered before. Noizi Itou is definitely my all time favorite artist and having her other two art books I just had to get this one.

I actually ended up preordering this book, the first art book I’ve preordered, and yesterday it arrived so I figured I get some pictures up as soon as I can. Unlike the other two Noizi Itou art books I have, this book is entirely comprised of Haruhi art. However it’s the kind that is already littered across the internet, its Noizi Itou’s illustrations, not anime style. There is a definite difference in the art and I think it is awesome to be able to see the original artist’s illustrations for a change rather than the anime style ones that are mainly seen.

Now this book is amazingly well put together. Hard cover and the pages are crisp hard stocked paper. This isn’t some flimsy collection. In fact, even in the middle of the book I could not get this thing to lay open, flat, without me holding it down. So I wasn’t really able to get pictures of the two page illustrations, just some shots of the ones that were only on one page. As you’ll undoubtedly notice they aren’t the best quality pictures mainly because this is a beautiful book I didn’t want to ruin by creasing open to take pictures. Still, I think you can get a good idea of its contents form what I have taken. Without further delay, here are some pictures.

This is only a fraction of what the actual book contains and I really would recommend this to everyone. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of Haruhi but like Noizi Itou’s other art, check this out.

Well just the other day I received the newest issue of Megami, 109, in the mail and I thought I would give some quick pictures and my impressions. Now, as I’ve said before the pictures I’ll take of any Megami issues, as I have a subscription, wont’ be as high quality as you may find elsewhere because I don’t really want to destroy the magazine just to get some pictures. This is more to just give my opinion.

Anyways, starting off with just the cover, it’s not a huge surprise that K-On! Would get some coverage, as its one of the most popular shows that has aired in a long time. Pretty nice picture I think.

Before I go into the pictures of the magazine itself, a bit about this issues special inclusion. Again, like last issue, it wasn’t actually a large poster but a pencil board and a memorial Nanoha art book in celebration of the new Nanoha movie. Now, being an enormous Nanoha fan this just made me absolutely giddy.

First the pencil board:

Pretty cute image of Nanoha on one side.

Now I saw this and my jaw just dropped. Words cannot describe how awesome this picture is. This picture is so awesome that every other thing in history that had any awesomeness factor to it combined wouldn’t not equate to the awesomeness of this picture of Fate.

Here are the rest of the pictures in the small art book, some I’ve seen before, but still nice.

Now for the magazine itself. Starting off with just the cover, it’s not a huge surprise that K-On would get some coverage, as its one of the most popular shows that has aired in a long time. Pretty nice picture I think.

Some shots of some, not all of the pull out pictures in the magazine. These aren’t all of them; just some quick shots of some the better ones in my opinion.

Here we see nice add for Biri Biri’s anime coming out soon.

Some coverage of the Nanoha movie.

And of course some K-On coverage.

Asura Cryin’ and Haruhi-chan getting some attention.

All in all a pretty good issue, especially for the Nanoha memorial book and pencil board. One thing I was a little disappointed to see was no pull out pictures at all of Hayate no Gotoku II. There was nothing except a single page article on it, but no real substantial picture son it. It’s one of my favorite series….I just hope that it will run for as long as the first season giving it time to appear in more issues, it needs a damn cover one of these months…

I recently took a good look at my cell phone. Now, even though I don’t use it very often it felt like something was wrong. I took a look at the electronics that surrounded it, a nice shiny giant monitor, a gigantic custom built desktop, a very nice digital camera and pristine handled consoles. This phone was surrounded by very sexy looking machines, yet the phone itself was just…..out of place.

The phone in question was a five year old RAZR which was being held together by scotch tape and had more scratched surfaces then unscratched. I finally decided that this piece of crap phone didn’t deserve to be amongst the rest of these electronics, so I decided to do something about it. Now, if you aren’t an idiot and could read the title, you’ll see that I did in fact get a new phone, a Blackberry Storm, and am here to tell you about my newly acquired piece of technology.

Now I’m not really going to do as extensive review of this phone, as its been out for a little while and there are much more tech extensive sites who have already done in depth reviews, but I’ll just give my personal impressions.

I don’t really need the phone for very extensive purposes. However this phone will be the first phone I have with full internet access. So far I’m loving that. I can’t really compare it to other phones with internet, but so far I see no problem with it. It’s a very reasonable speed and having a nice browser is very helpful. I’m still configuring some of the email stuff, but like any phone it’s got email and browser functionality that so far works perfectly fine. I don’t have a lot of need for other weird applications that other phones may have. Just simply extra functions like playing music, an internet radio, and some solitaire game and I’m good.

I don’t use flickr or facebook very much, though I have accounts with both and I’m hoping that having its phone with applications for those sites will get me to use them more. My twitter account is: if anyone cares, as I said I don’t update it very often now but when I begin to I’ll announce it in a quick post so you can go ahead and start following me now if you care.

As for the touch screen on this phone, I love it. It is quite weird and different but I haven’t had any difficulties or problems with it. Like anything new it takes some getting used to. You don’t really need to press very hard for the screen to click and once you get it in your mind that you have to press down it’s not an inconvenience.

Anyways, those are just my quick first impressions. I’ve had the phone for less than a week, and am still adding some customization to it, but I feel hopeful about the phone. Here are some pictures of the phone and my current wallpaper for it, and everything.

A pretty plain old box…

The phone in its silicone case there, a charger and cable for syncing. The headphones are pretty impressive as they not only are headphones it has a little bud a ways down the cable with a button for pausing media playback and it also answers calls and serves as a impressive microphone for actually talking while the phone remains in your pocket.

Just a kind of blurry shot of the phone while the screen is off, it does gather fingerprints but it isn’t too hard to wipe clean.

The back, pretty plain.

The phone on and full application page shown, still not customized yet.

My K-On! wallpaper, what can I say, I’m a sucker for Mio and Yui.

Hatsune Miku talking on my new phone…

As FlareKnight mentioned in a post last week, the 17th was my birthday. I am a very selfish person and so I usually always use occasions like this as an excuse to spend a lot of money on myself. This year I decided to give myself A LOT of Megami magazines. I’ve always been fairly limited in my collection of anime merchandise. It’s mainly just been limited to figures however at a couple of conventions I’ve bought a couple of art books and I’ve grown more and more to like them. I figured a subscription to Megami Magazine would be something that is along those lines to help further progress such a collection. However I can’t just buy myself a subscription, there’s not much to show for it right away so I decided to buy over 20 previous issues in addition to the subscription, including Deluxe and Creators. Big pictures of all I have after the jump.

This post is to show what my jumpstarted collection is like and to simply express this acquisition. Seeing as how this is an anime site and Megami is an anime magazine, it seems to fit rather well. I won’t be doing scans or full in depth pictures of the magazines as there are plenty of people there who cut the magazines open and get like 5million x 4million pixel resolution shots of these which I don’t have any reason to compete with. But here is just a shot of my collection and to let you know of this.

I do have to say though, even though there are plenty of people with far bigger collections then mine I think I did DAMN good for a collection being this size when I only started less than a month ago :D

Here is a big shot of all of them side by side. Clicking the picture will link to a MUCH bigger shot so you can actually see what they are.

Here are some quick individual shots of the issues:

First up all of my Creator magazines. I have to say that overall I like them. The feel of them is much more like an artbook then a magazine and a lot of time I think the pictures are of more original art then just popular series, which is a nice contrast.

Here are the Megami Deluxe issues. Although these, like Creators, don’t contain any pullouts it is nice because it is pretty much 100% pictures of the posters and image, not containing a lot of other clutter. Though sometime that other clutter the magazine brings is nice, having just the art together is nice as well.

Somewhat going along with the Deluxes, here is the Super Deluxe which is rather easy to find and very well priced for such a huge art book. It basically contains all the bet images in a fashion like Deluxe does with no pull outs of the first 100 Megami magazines.

I felt Megami Super Deluxe was the perfect thing to get considering my actual Megami collection starts off at Vol. 100 which was very hard to find, as shown down below still in shrink-wrap. The rest of the issues follow.

And although I didn’t take pictures of all the big posters included in these or the pull outs, two of the last three I believe also or alternatively had something other than a big poster which I figured warranted a quick shot.

Here is a pencil board, both sides of it. I don’t know what to actually do with a “pencil board” other than treat it as art but that’s what I would do even if I fully understood the need of it.

And here is something very nice that was included with the latest issue, 108, instead of a big poster it had a little memorial book for Clannad After Story. Seeing as how I love Clannad this was a great addition. Plus the latest Deluxe had a big Clannad After Story poster anyways so everything worked out great.

Anyways, that’s all there is for now. I’ll try and do a post when I get a new one and a quick impression on it, but nothing so detailed like scans as I mentioned. So, who else collects Megami?
