Impressions:

I loved this episode. I thought it was a great end to this series. They ended up handling the issue of Yuuto not thinking he was good enough VERY well. I was afraid it would seem too cheesy or emo, but I really think it turned out rather nicely. The pompous guy got what was coming to him and as I anticipated Haruka liked Yuuto’s present most of all. Still, his doubts, even though I knew it would turn out good, were handled well. I was also dead on with the old guy’s identity, and I’m glad he had some part in this episode.

I’m a bit confused, and curious, as to how this episode ended. They went from Yuuto learning that he gave the book to Haruka, them falling down and then it almost seemed like there was a dream sequence, where one of the was imagining things going like that, but then it was interrupted and continued like it was normal, so the scene may have actually happened, but there was still al little gap as they suddenly changed to that scene. Whether or not Yuuto informed Haruka of the book situation or not is unknown. I do think that if all of what we saw happened, that they did indeed kiss because when they were running away Yuuto kind of seemed to feel his lips, like he actually did kiss her. If that’s so, I’m very pleased with how things ended as I wanted the romance in this series to actually reach some point like that, and it did.

Final Thoughts:

From the beginning I could tell this series was going to be a great show to watch. I love romance in a series, and pairing that with a cute girl who likes anime is a winning combination. I really was very impressed with the amount of romance they had, even though it wasn’t as much as a shoujo show would have, it’s more then I thought the series would have. I loved the innocent way Haruka acted, yet she was always very kind and sincere. Plus, even though the series for the most part had a rather carefree focus, at the end things got really interesting and I desperately wanted to know how things turned out, I thought it was great.

I was a bit surprised at how little role Shiina played in the series. It seems that her kind of character would fit perfectly in a bigger role. Someone in her position could easily actually confess to Yuuto and make him really analyze his feelings for her and Haruka, or Shiina could confront Haruka about what Haruka’s feelings are, saying that she likes him and so on. However all she really did was cause for Haruka to think of the possibility of someone else being with Yuuto. While that’s something, it wasn’t anywhere near as much as it could have been, and if it was something like that it would have added a lot of depth to the show.

Something happened and I lost the original post of this. I thought it was pretty interesting – they did a good job of setting up an interesting cliffhanger and an interesting topic of Yuuto not thinking he is good enough.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was pretty good. The focus of the episode really was based a lot on Haruka’s feelings for Yuuto and vice versa. There really wasn’t a lot of content that was just thrown in there for nothing. The most alluring part of this show for me right now is the romance aspect, as is with many shows. Seeing as how this episode dealt with the romance more then any other episode thus far, I liked it a lot. It was interesting to see how Haruka dealt with seeing the scene she did. From what I understand is she right away realized that Yuuto and Shina weren’t doing anything together, but just the image of it and the thought that she might not be with Yuuto was enough to cause her problems. I am a bit disappointed in the end that something more concrete then I want to be with you was said. Although pretty big I really wish they would have said they love each other or kissed at least.

I’m curious where the show will go from here. They’ve already used Shina for something, as it sparked feelings inside Haruka, but they haven’t really had any drama where Shina tells Yuuto how she feels, which I was originally expecting. They probably have time for that and I think it would fit in the series still. That encounter may push Yuuto to do something more concrete with Haruka like kiss her or tell him he loves her.

Yuuto’s class decides on what they are going to do for the upcoming festival.

Impressions:

This episode was pretty good. Although I am a bit disappointed that they haven’t taken this opportunity to show some jealousy on Haruka’s side towards just seeing Yuuto and Shina together doing ordinary things. They showed her seeing tome together, but she didn’t really seem saddened or jealous at the time. This would have been the perfect opportunity to get some relationship development, as if she gets jealous it could spark Yuuto to confront her about it or whatever, but they haven’t really used that.

The end of this episode was certainly interesting. I just knew something like what happened was going to happen. When I saw Haruka happily walking to go find Yuuto, in a school that’s mostly empty when he was spending a lot of time with another girl, something like that was just begging to happen. Although it’s not as bad as it could have been. They could have been kissing. Although in that situation I’m sure it would be something initiated by Shina only. Still, the situation Haruka walked in on isn’t that big as I’m positive it’s just something as simple as tripping and falling into that position. However knowing Haruka, being able to come to that realization may take a while, so this is something rather serious.

Mika takes Yuuto out on a date to teach him how he should behave with Haruka.

Impressions:

This episode was a lot of fun, as I really like Mika’s character, and not just because I’m a lolicon, it’s for other reasons…..IT IS! Anyways, it was fairly funny and sweet at moments seeing Mika react to Yuuto. She obviously likes him but considering the age difference and that she’s doing this to get him and her sister together, she can’t really do anything. I don’t really want to see some super drama coming from that situation, and it looks like it won’t so the degree they had it in this episode was nice. Ultimately it didn’t rally result in too much. Things have mostly remained the same, which is kind of what I feared. Although they did this whole episode to teach Yuuto how to get further in the relationship with Haruka, not only did they not show much of that but I’m guessing the future won’t really benefit from this either.

From the beginning of this show I had my fears about the relationship really moving forward due to how oblivious Haruka is. Generally when someone is oblivious like that to the normal reactions and behaviors in a relationship, it’s not helpful for romantic progress. Although she isn’t as bad as a lot of characters in other anime, the fact that she didn’t even show a little bit of worry or disappointment that Yuuto would be working with Shina and not her or something, was a bit disappointing. I just hope that in the next episodes where they focus a lot more on the two of them being together, she shows something otherwise there isn’t really any hope for good romantic progress.

Haruka’s hobby gets discovered by her father so she runs to Yuuto for help.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was great. It was a lot more then I would expect form an episode this far into what I can assume will be a 12-13 episode series. It was a great midway drama bit. It mixed comedy with some relationship development. Comedy being that there was this big of an armed force that infiltrated the house and that they were fought off for a bit but beyond that there were some rather serious parts too dealing with Haruka’s father accepting her hobby. Although, in the end that ultimately came down to a bit of comedy on how afraid the father is of the mother, but the end result was still the same, getting her hobby accepted. I was hoping for a bit more romance though. This would have been the perfect moment for Yuuto to say something to her or even vice versa, but now I don’t see a moment coming along until the last couple of episodes.

I’m pretty sure the rest of the series will be mainly less serious episodes leading up to a finale that deals with the romance. I’m sure there will be some episodes just for fun that slowly establish Shina’s feelings towards Yuuto, which will then turn into Haruka being jealous or Yuuto really examining how he feels which will lead to the conclusion. Although predictable, it should still be fun. This show does a pretty good job of mixing in some good comedy even when dealing with other things, so it will be entertaining I’m sure.

Impressions:

This episode was a lot of fun to watch. Of course any episode that focuses this heavily on anime in a show that is about a cute and somewhat oblivious girl who likes anime is going to be interesting. Seeing all the different anime show up was great. Of course, the ones that made major appearances were of course the ones all done by the same artist’s character designs, which was great because I love his work. It was a lot of fun and they mixed in a great amount of almost touching moments with the two of them and then at the end a big plot point that could mean a lot later.

I’m really not sure what could have happened to Haruka at the end of this episode that would cause a scene like what they had. I noticed the guy in the suit looking at her during the episode and I’m sure it has something to do with that, but its not like she was kidnapped or anything. She’s there at Yuuto’s house, distressed, so something happened but nothing that would put her in danger. My only guess is that there is something about Haruka being blackmailed or told she can’t do something like see Yuuto anymore or be involved in anime. Still, it seems to be the first big step towards any kind of event happening that could change the dynamic of the relationship. Hell, the title of the next episode is I love you so hopefully that will point to a big step in the romance.

Shina, the girl Yuuto continuously has bumped into, transfers to Haruka and his school.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was a good introduction to Shina’s character. Although it’s not really an introduction since she’s appeared in two episodes before this, she wasn’t really making her debut as an important character then. Right now I’m most looking forward to her character to push for some more romance between Haruka and Yuuto. She obviously likes him, though I don’t think Yuuto has thought that way towards her. The part I see her playing the most is to make Haruka jealous and have her do something or have Shina question something about Haruka and Yuuto’s relationship that may push for it to be developed more. There’s pretty much no hope for her, but I do think she’ll play an important role.

Apart from the potential for later development that Shina brings, not too much has really progressed as far as romance with Haruka and Yuuto. There’s hardly any there at all. Haruka seems a bit oblivious to her perhaps liking him or vice versa, and Yuuto doesn’t seem to think seriously about it either. He’s just doing this because he’s nice it seems. I really wish they would show a little more. Its obvious there’s something that can happen between them, and Haruka has had the bits where she’ll get mad or something when Mika flirts with him, but beyond that neither one of them has rally shown much interest, which is a bit disappointing.

When Hazuki begins to act strangely, Haruka and Yuuto begin to follow her though he daily activities to find out what’s going on.

Impressions:

This episode was amazing. It seemed to have a great mix of so many things. It had some hilarious moments in it. I laughed so hard and for so long when they showed Haruka dressed as Shana. They even played the original OP and Haruka yelled shut up. That was hilarious and I really hope they show more moments lie that where Haruka shows off more of her otaku side. There were also some other good comedy moments too. Plus all of this is in addition to Haruka and Yuuto spending a lot of time together further developing a relationship between them, and they even managed to throw in some interesting touching stories about how Hazuki has always been there for Haruka and is like a member of the family. The episode really had a lot of stuff and I loved it.

My guess is that the transfer student that the preview for the next episode talked about will be the girl who Yuuto continually bumps into. I hope it is because I think that will make things interesting. Although it won’t be unique for a show to have a love triangle like this, it should still make things more interesting. I’m really hoping her presence will perhaps make Haruka jealous and maybe spark more romance development between the two of them. Either way, another character couldn’t really hurt at this point, and she seems to have a fun enough personality.

When at school, Haruka drops an anime magazine and to protect Haruka, Yuuto says it’s his.

Impressions:

Wow, this episode really surprised me in a great way. I was wondering if this show was going to have any rather serious moments like this when Yuuto would have to be hated to protect Haruka but I never expected it to be so soon and to such a large degree. Although when I saw this episode was going down that route I figured it would end the way it did, with Haruka blaming herself for making Yuuto hated but Yuuto saying he’ll be with Haruka, even though it was predictable it was still fun to watch and it had a .lot of great character development. However one of the things that surprised me the most was the fact that Haruka took responsibility and said the magazine was hers at the end. I wasn’t expecting that at all. This effectively could mean that the entire school now knows that anime is her hobby, which kind of breaks the whole secret that ties Haruka and Yuuto together. I’m curious if there really will be any more focus on the fact that there’s this secret between them or if it will kind of ignore that, either way as long as the two of them are together and they have some content dealing with romance between them, I’m fine with it.

I really like the imouto and maid combo of characters. I can just see them in most of the episodes spying on what Haruka and Yuuto do. They seem like a fun character team, and I don’t really see anything serious coming from them, however it should still be fun to see.
