Inuyasha – Final Act – 14

Naraku attacks Kohaku when Sesshomaru is away.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was pretty good. Right off the bat they seemed to start with a pretty dire situation, of Naraku appearing before Kohaku, the last shard, without anyone there to protect him. Things could have easily gone to hell. However, of course it didn’t end there but it was still interesting to see. I do have to say, way to go Sango. Holy shit, that was awesome. Honestly, she had become the most useless character out of the main group lately. Once they started dealing with real things and not random crap demons, she really didn’t do anything. However here….wow. She did A LOT. It almost seemed that she could have killed Naraku herself for a minute there. It’s one thing to do damage, however it’s another thing to then stop him from being able to instantly recover like he always does. Hell, with Sango there doing the big purify/portal thing that is needed it seems a lot easier now. Way to go Sango, seriously.

I am interested in what Naraku is trying to do with Sesshomaru, what he is trying to use him for. He obviously gave Byakuya that mirror shard for a reason, whether or not he’s trying to use it to make Sesshomaru kill Inuyasha or just weaken them, I’m not sure. I don’t even know what it would do, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon. If whatever it does causes a confrontation between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, which I’m sure it will, it might be what finally gives Tessaiga its final form, which may be fusing with Tenseiga. However, if something like that were to happen, I don’t see that there’s much Sesshomaru has left to do, and I think it would be too odd for them to de-power Sesshomaru so early, so I don’t really know what’s going to happen.
