Tears to Tiara – 14

Arawn and the others head to his tomb to collect the treasures left there so they can help fund their army.

Impressions:

Disclaimer: I don’t feel like pretending I don’t know what is going to happen, and writing a section without spoilers and then one with them, as I’ve played the game. This post will contain massive spoilers to the whole plot. If you don’t want to be spoiled, then don’t read on. I won’t spoil anything simply for the sake of spoiling it, no needless spoilers, but they will be there. Final warning.

I thought this episode was ok, however it seemed like they spent too much time on the meaningless stuff and not enough on the important parts that did come up. I do wish they would have talked a bit more about the mural in the tomb. That really is the whole reason they go there, plot wise that is. I mean that although they go there for treasure, the only thing there that is important to the rest of the story, even though it wasn’t the characters motivation to go there, was the mural and Arawn’s story about the 13 angels. They seemed to kind of gloss over that so I hope that they at least focus more when Taliesin is being told the angel story latter on.

Next episode seems to finally be the big event I’ve been waiting for. It really is important as it kind of sets everything into motion. Some of that was actually shown in this episode with Gaius. Telling his aide to go collect as many soldiers as he can kind of hints at a huge eminent attack by Gaius. I just hope they don’t screw it up, and, after it happens that they don’t fall back into some more fluff episodes.
