Arawn and the other Gaels’ fight against the Rublum army.
Disclaimer: I don’t feel like pretending I don’t know what is going to happen, and writing a section without spoilers and then one with them, as I’ve played the game. This post will contain massive spoilers to the whole plot. If you don’t want to be spoiled, then don’t read on. I won’t spoil anything simply for the sake of spoiling it, no needless spoilers, but they will be there. Final warning.
I already dislike this woman commander/general person that Gaius is having this little tiff with. This isn’t even like some of the other parts of the show I have problems with; she was never in the game at all. It’s not that she was in it in a different way, she’s completely new to the anime (I’m not talking about PS3 either) she seems totally unnecessary. The entire story of this show isn’t solely about going again the empire but also about Arawn’s past. They are putting too much emphasis on this I think. Gaius was plenty enough of a force in the empire to be reckoned with without the addition of this new girl. I hope she doesn’t play too much larger of a part, because she’s just unneeded. They need to stop changing things so much from the PC version. Every time they do the anime is getting further and further away from being as good as the game, and its already nowhere near it.
I’m not too sure what this is going to accomplish, this battle with this army. As I said it never happened in the game and it seems like a complete waste. It looks like they’ll beat them in the end and effectively have spent two episodes doing nothing but showing the Gael’s pissing off the empire by remaining undefeated, which they didn’t really need anyways. Finally they are showing Octavia being attacked like that. It’s about damn time, as in the game she pretty much started already on the bad side of the empire and joined up with everyone. They just really need her there before they have the ultimate battle with Gaius and the big arm. I’m guessing that how things will go is they defeat this Rublum army, then get Octavia, then find out about a big attack from Gaius and his troops, they then go to Taliesin for help, then I’m not sure how but they have to fit in the Gravitas event where Arthur almost kills you-know-who. All of this needs to happen before Gaius attacks. They have plenty of things to occupy the time they have left, they didn’t need this Rublum crap and the whole Rublum thing better not be a substitute for something else to come.
