Impressions:
This show does kind of throw me with how often and oddly they switch from pure random comedy to some issues that may be taken somewhat seriously. It goes from some of the random stuff we’ve seen to episodes like this where there is somewhat of a serious focus about Inamori being worried about losing a friend and so on. I think this show would be far better if it focused on one or the other. As it is now, neither aspect of the show is that outstanding that it makes the overall show that great. If they were to focus a bit more on one of the different parts, preferably comedy in this case, it would do a lot better. The “serious” parts of the show seem forced and really the best part is when Kanako is off in her head putting a yuri spin on everything happening around her.

Yeah, I agree that the episode wandered a little too close towards the “friendship anime” genre, but Kanako saved the day by suggesting to buy sexy lingerie for Inamori’s birthday.
