Kurokami – 03

Keita learns he must stay close to Kuro for his new heart not to fail.

Impressions:

I thought this was good, it didn’t offer too much but it did seem to really emphasis that the two of them NEED to be together and aren’t going to end up fighting together just because Keita suddenly decides he wants to help, he pretty much has to. Although, I am somewhat bothered by his attitude, but there is a good chance that it will change after this situation the episode ended in. Still, he seemed oddly bothered when he shouldn’t be. He’s the one who caused Kuro to leave the house, she got into a fight on her own and he is the one who got himself killed. Kuro had almost nothing to do with it yet he seems to hate her despite the fact she saved his life at risk to her own. I hope his attitude changes.

I’m curious if they are going to reintroduce some of the Master Root characters and really focus on the whole idea that they are kind of a combination of all three people. In that sense his mother and the classmate might not be considered dead. That is one of the most interesting aspects of the show I think, that sure two out of three people die, but the other person, as far as they seem to have explained, aren’t unchanged either. It sounded like their fates and essence is combined, so in a way you could say they aren’t dead in a normal sense. That bring sup a lot of topics as to the actual identity of these Master Roots and any emotions towards them, having known the dead person that got “absorbed”

Something is to be said for that guy’s incredibly slow reaction time. I mean he jumps in when Kuro was fighting the guy in the first episode. Yet she is on the ground having her face pummelled by his teacher and it’s like his brain shut down. Seems kind of clear what’s going on.

Do hope the guy’s personality gets a readjustment soon. He involved himself and got hurt. Kuro clearly put herself into a tough spot to save him. So the least he could do was be appreciative for it.

I’m wondering about the whole Master Root thing. Though for me it’s still a messed up system. I still don’t get why two have to die just because they saw the other person. Seems like the person left gets something. But still feels like a tragic death for the other two.
