Tomoya tries to balance his work and his relationship with Nagisa

Impressions:

This episode was alright, but for the most pat I wasn’t THAT impressed with it. It seemed that it dint’ really do a lot for the overall plot other then continue to set up the situation of Tomoya trying to balance work and Nagisa. Although this episode had him miss his date with Nagisa, it’s not like that really turned into a huge deal. It just seemed like another case of his work getting in the way. Right now it just seems like this episode, and the last, have merely set the stage for something else to happen, and until that does the episodes won’t be anything too special. In the past when they set up a situation they were at school and the could throw in some good comedy bits of Tomoya interacting with Sunohara or Kyou and Ryou and all the others really. Now however since the situation is more about real life, that isn’t going to happen.

I’m not really sure what this event s that’s going to happen. They are setting up for something but really I don’t have a strong idea either way of what it is. A guess would be that Tomoya decides to be even more serious about his relationship with Nagisa and their bond deepens. Perhaps she moves in with him or something, but even something like that wouldn’t be enough of a jarring event to cause the show to be as dramatic and emotional as it has been in the past. Something like that is kind of a happy occurrence, and some tragedy is bound to happen amongst it.
