We know he has some kind of powers that haven't been looked at much at all. Some reason the author seems to have forgotten they gave him those powers. Being chosen for this doesn't necessarily mean they will delve into that. But seeing something the other girls couldn't might mean they will finally give some credit there. Other than being able to piece things together well, not a bad idea to look into what he can do. The overall problem may again have little to do with the supernatural. Just getting Rui to the past in order to solve it would require some powers. The main problems could just have to do with that evil looking guy. One problem with the series is making the bad guys look too obvious. Anyways will hope for the best in regards to this arc. Wonder if Rui will get in trouble getting close to what is probably Ran's ancestor. Can't imagine the powers and appearance come from someone completely unrelated.
