Haruka and Yuuto take a trip to Akihabara so Haruka can do some shopping.

Impressions:

I really just love this show so far. Haruka is an extremely fun character to watch as she gets embarrassed and is naïve to so many things. I’m actually a bit surprised that this show isn’t more focused on the whole otaku thing. That may seem an odd thing to say right after an episode with them going to Akihabara, but the show isn’t so much about Haruka being obsessed with anime then it is just the general relationship between her and Yuuto. I’m a big fan of romance in anime and I’m just ecstatic with the amount they’ve already shown, and hope it continues. It really seems that her secret is just a way to get the two of them close together, more then it’s a focus point of the series. They did reveal one thing in this episode that I’m sure they’ll bring up later as an important point, which is of course the fact that Yuuto was the one who gave Haruka the book when she was young and got her into the hobby in the first place. For anime it’s obvious that’s the cast, as this won’t be the first show to have two characters meet when they’re young and not know it, though I am looking forward to the both of them realizing it, however something like that won’t appear till the end.

They seemed to introduce the love rival in this episode, though only briefly. It’s obvious in the OP that she plays that kind of role, but she was only very briefly included in this episode. Seeing as she doesn’t really have a reason to be around Yuuto more, I doubt she’ll really come into play as a love rival until a bit later, but at least they showed her in this episode. Of course, there won’t ever be any contest as to who will end up with whom.
