Akira finds out that Yahiro may have something to do with her new friend Yui having to move away, so she tries to intervene.

Impressions:

Wow…this episode was absolutely incredible. I didn’t expect it to be so good. I definitely thought that there had to be more that they would show involving Yui and Akira, but I didn’t expect it like this. I can’t believe they revealed that Yahiro never did anything wrong to Akira. In fact, he sacrificed his own happiness for hers. I’m shocked. I never expected him to turn out that way. I would have thought that he actually was a bit mean and controlling, but he didn’t do a single bad thing. Revealing something like that was pretty big. It wasn’t just this even either, but the one in the past where he acted in the best interest of Akira. It was pretty big, especially for this series which seems to have a lot of less important moments in it.

I’m really interested in the romance possibilities they have with Akira. Kei and Hikari are kind of set as a pair, and it will likely be a while before a lot happens with them, but Akira is showing a lot of potential for just as interesting, if not more interesting, romance development. There are several hints for something to happen between her and Tadase, and now that they’ve revealed that Yahiro isn’t an evil bastard, he’s in the running again too. However, I have a feeling they won’t focus on this nearly enough. Hell, they are hardly focusing on the main character’s romance, so any hope of some more involving side characters isn’t great.
