Well I'm guessing Irie feels a lot of guilt for what happened to his father. How his unilateral decision added onto the stress his father has with running his company. Its not Irie's fault that he wants to pursue his own dreams for once. But after such a short time is really considering giving them up. The marriage interview thing on top of it all really makes it complicated. I'm sure it will be resolved somehow though.

I wouldn't worry about the ending. Since not only the notes, but did hear that the author told her husband how she was planning on ending the story. So they will be able to give a conclusion as close to what the author envisioned as possible. Of course always a chance she would have adjusted things slightly as she got closer to actually finishing it, but this will be fine. I didn't even know about the manga this was based on until the anime aired and I'm still happy to see it getting a conclusion.

According to recent reports, the TV series will have a definite conclusion based on the mangaka's unpublished notes.
