Someone beings to vandalize the S.A.’s meeting spot and someone challenges Ryuu to a contest.

Impressions:
I’m getting pretty frustrated with the lack of romance development this show has. Even though this episode was great, it’s almost overshadowed by my disappoint that it’s not something else. However putting that aside for a bit, this episode was done rather well. There seems to be a lot of wasted optional for great stories that they don’t really have time to explore. It seems more then anything that they just aren’t able to transfer things from the manga to this, because of all these back stories that they don’t have time to show. Anyways, Ryuu was pretty interesting. It was nice to see that him being a parent figure to Jun and Megumi is more then just a background joke. It really seems that he has a legitimate past with them to justify that kind of relationship, which is pretty interesting to see. Also, Ryuu was freaking awesome. Although this show exaggerates things a lot with Kei and Hikari, it was really cool to see Ryuu totally kick ass.
The next episode will hopefully escalade things to a good level romance wise with Kei and Hikari. Obviously Kei means that he more or less wants to go on a date with Hikari. However even while they are out doing it I doubt she’ll catch onto that. I really hope that eventually she does realize his feelings. For her to stay oblivious throughout the entire rest of the series will really be a great shame, as it will pretty much mean the series amounts to nothing in the end. There isn’t really any hope for this show at having the most important part of the show be on romance, but I’d still like to see it conclude with one. I have to admit even without it they’ve managed a few interesting stories, the best ones seem like wasted potential without that romantic closure.
