Hikari begins to tutor Kei’s brother when he shows no interest in paying attention to his studies.

Impressions:
I thought this episode was really good. I still don’t quite see why people dislike this show so much. It may not be the best show of the new season, even in its genre or anything, but it’s certainly not bad. I found it quite interesting and fun to watch this episode, as I have with the previous episodes. This episode had a rather interesting serious focus about the relationship between Kei and his brother. It was probably one of the more serious ones they’ve had so it was interesting to see unfold. I’m not sure how many more serious moments they’ll have. This show seems the kind that will mainly be comedy and some light moments, but it did handle the more serious moment rather nicely.
It does seem from what this episode showed that Hikari has no romantic feelings for Kei. However this episode also kind of showed even more that Kei has feelings for Hikari, seeing as how he paid no attention to his own well being as he raced to Hikari. I’m just wondering when they’ll focus on that more, because I think that’s what’s going to make this series all the more interesting. Even if Hikari doesn’t have feelings, revealing more openly that Kei has feelings for her will make things much more interesting and could cause some of the more serious moments.
I did find Kei’s dad incredibly funny. The way he is super childish and even looks way younger then Kei is great. It’s a bit too bad he’s such a minor character just because his overall status is funny so I’m sure it could spawn some even funnier moments if he were to appear more. Still, nice to see it even if was just for this episode.
