D. Gray-Man - 80

Allen and the others make their way though the corridor, running into the various traps and pranks that Jasdevi sets up for them.

Impressions:

This episode was alright. It wasn’t a super serious action packed episode, like the previous Kanda episodes were so even if this episode was rather good, it was bad compared to the last episode so it’ll loose a bit of its appeal. Still, even though the episode wasn’t too serious it was still funny to watch. I laughed several times so if you don’t take the episode too seriously, it was pretty good I just don’t’ want them to stay with this kind of focus for too long.

I was really excited to see Lulubell in this episode. Even if she didn’t actually have a role in it, they just showed her doing nothing really, but it’s still cool. I’m glad they haven’t just forgotten her. Speaking of that scene though, I found the whole crying thing to be interesting. Every Noah was crying even if they didn’t actually know Skinn died. Well…they might have, they may have some innate feeling that he died, but it was just an automatic reaction. All of them were doing it. I doubt Lulubell has a strong connection t Skinn considering she’s away so much, yet she stilled cried. Plus they also gave some interesting information about the Noahs themselves. Road is Dream, Tykki is Joy, Jasdevi is Bond, and Lulubell is Lust.

I am curious as to how the battle coming up in the next episode will go. Fro the OP it really seems as if the two twins fuse into one being, truly being Jasdevi, and fight against Crowley. It would make sense since he just drank the blood, it would seem a waste to only use it for escaping the breaking floor. However there seems to be a lot of focus on Allen facing off against them, since they have a grudge against him for the bill.

May be a special bond between the Noah’s that would let them know about one dying fairly quickly. At least seems Road was fairly certain. Either she could sense no one had exited through her door and thus they were dead regardless or she had some awareness due to her ability.

Was quite the odd thing seeing them in tears. Goes to show despite the horrible things they can do, they are humans. Losing family or at least someone you were very close to would be quite the emotional shock.

Though if Kanda is dead I feel little pity for those guys and hope they all get taken down.

Honestly was a step down after the last episode. Hard to keep it to the level of Kanda desperately fighting for his life against a powerful opponent. This was just to transfer into the next round vs the twins.

On a lighter note, nice to know the chicken is alright.
