Impressions:
This episode was pretty good. So far there hasn’t been anything amazingly epic about this show, but it’s still got some kind of charm. There is something about the feel of the show and the characters that just make it really fun to watch. I’m really rooting for Hikari in pretty much all instances to surpass Kei and even though Kei is the number one student, he’s not an ass about it and is in fact rather nice except for good natured teasing. It just seems that there is a lot of aspects to it that really make it do well even without a more serious focus.
It’s interesting to see this show be the way it is, because it’s a bit different then some other shoujo shows it seems. It’s not the girl who likes the guy, it seems, it’s pretty much the guy who is better then the girl, that has feelings. Comparing it to ItaKiss this season it’s pretty much the opposite, except the feelings aren’t really made known. I am curious if Hikari has any feelings for Kei. They haven’t really hinted at it at all. The only thing they have hinted at a little bit was Kei having feelings for Hikari. He seems too proud to say anything about it so I’m not sure how the serious aspect of the romance will progress. I’m definitely really curious and anxious to see more romance in this. I have a bit higher hope for this show then others since it does seem to be pretty shoujo focused.

Meh, this episode was crap, it was a copy of the 1st. Nothing interesting happened, and the romance part on the ring between Hikari and Kei was just lame and ridicolous. And the “miss number two” and “don’t call me number two” is also getting really old. I was waiting more from this show, I hope it gets better soon.

Have to worry about Hikari. That girl takes clueless to a level unseen by some. Gets a few assassination attempts and just shakes them off. Can’t blame Kei for being pretty serious in terms of protecting her since she really works more on instinct.
Will see how the series develops. Clear how Kei feels, it’s just about Hikari figuring things out. Right now seems really focused on taking Kei down and the competitions. Doubt she has considered romance in general and will probably take a confession from Kei for her to figure it out. I’m sure most around them will pick things up since he lets his guard down at times, but Hikari….probably not.
