Allen shows up to save Lenalee and fight against the Earl to stop him from attacking her.

Impressions:
This episode was pretty good. It was a bit less action then I had originally thought, but then again I said it would be odd for them to do some kind of full blown battle with the Earl this early. The episode seemed mostly a reunion and recovering from the big battle, which was fine. I really liked the ending to this episode. I loved how things were extremely peaceful and it was the aftermath of a big battle everyone turned out to be fine, they were kidding around and there was a lot of humor, and hell even the music that plays when a situation has lighted up started playing but then…BOOM a big thing happens again. They certainly didn’t let up on the action. I didn’t really expect them to fall into a big lull or anything but it was a bit surprising to see them kind of relax after the battle to have it suddenly start up again more or less, I wasn’t expecting it to happen that fast. Poor Lenalee can’t catch a break.
One of the more interesting parts of this episode was that the Earl seemed to know and easily recognize the whole Crown Clown thing Allen has going on with his Innocence. This seems to point even more to the theory I had on “The Performer” Hell, the kind of flashback screen they showed with the Earl and the Crown Clown was in some kind of performance hall, so it would easily be connected to Allen having the Performer talent via his Innocence. Mana is certainly a mysterious fellow and he spent a lot of time with Allen, Mana could easily have been the traitorous Noah and I think the fact that the Earl seemed to know Allen’s Innocence appearance points to that.
Another small thing that was interesting was the focus again on the title of Bookman and how Lavi was getting too involved. They’ve continually teased us with this fact that Lavi is supposed to be neutral in the war. I hope they really do focus on that A LOT later. It doesn’t have to be right now, as that’s the kind of thing that would be his final personal development of the entire series but it does seem to be interesting, struggling between being a neutral history recorder and actually fighting.

Personally just loved the Kanda and Allen banter. Just shows how far Allen has grown as a person that instead of just taking it he goes at it with Kanda. Poor Lavi gets into it and thus is chewed out by the two.
Guess they did want to save the big battle with Allen and the Earl. Though Allen didn’t walk over the Earl and couldn’t in the end injure him. But was a nice rescue that was mission accomplished.
Some interesting questions with the performer. Still have a strange feeling with Cross though. Someone that can modify akuma like that has to be taken into consideration. Poor chickens…Cross escapes again and they pay the price. The comparison of clowns was also something. The Earl really is a big clown though is very dangerous. Allen has his new innocence ‘clown crown’. Is possible Mana was the performer though.
Poor Lenalee. Girl is hurt and now a major target since the Noah have to suspect hers could be the heart. Which makes the attempt to capture her at the end of the episode all the more alarming. If she can’t fight, she’s just a target.
Do feel for Lavi. He cares about the others a lot. But right now he’s really split between his obligations and what he feels. Wants to be with the others, but has to keep a distance as a bookman.
i dont have a lot of background on dgray man but when i saw the scene with crown clown and the earl for some reason i thought they were like opposites of each other.
one trying to create demons’ the other setting them free. one trying to destroy the world the other wanted to save it.
its like they are on equal grounding when it comes to a fight. and above them is the heart destroy the heart and you destroy the world alternatively protect the heart and you protect the world.
but i agree i wasn’t expecting a slow episode but it really did end up with a bang…i was like oh how lovey dovey and then BAM!!! right in the ….
This episode is very cool, Yeah!!!
xD.
