Episode of the Week:
Shakugan no Shana II - 21
I almost didn’t even have to think about this one. Although the other shows didn’t have dynamite episodes this week it’s mainly because of how kick ass this individual episode was. As I said in its post when the music, the first OP Joint, started playing during one of the scenes it was just so freaking cool that I couldn’t help but have a huge smile on my face throughout the rest of watching. I really got sucked into it and enjoyed it.
The episode seems to have pretty much ended the Sabrac arc, which was pretty outstanding. It did win both episode of the week awards during the two episodes they were doing it. Sabrac was just such a cool bad guy and was really pretty dangerous, which made defeating him in this episode all the more cooler.

Pretty good call I’d say. Just a great episode in taking down a pretty tough enemy. Showing everyone no matter what their abilities working together for a common cause. Yuji doing something impressive rather than just screaming like an idiot.
Nice that as we near the end of season 2 the show is really giving some great moments to remember.
I could not agree more with this selection. Right now I would say this is the best episode of 2008. I loved the battle with Sabrac, he was certainly a bad ass villain. One of my favorite moments was when they had the special bandages made by Johan. Was one of those cool anime moments reminding me why I love anime. The closest comparisons I can make are in Naruto when Lee was fighting Gaara (when Naruto was once good) and episode 20 of Kaiji (which is probably second best episode of the year.
One question, why does the RSS Feed no longer work?
The RSS feed should work…my site is appearing on the usual aggregators which use the feed…
Hmm does seem to be working now but I checked multiple times the past week and it was always down. Oh well, water under the bridge I guess.
