When Hina and Hayate both get letters they think are love letters and see each other where the letters say, they run into a misunderstanding.

Impressions:
This episode was pretty good. It wasn’t really anything outstanding but it pretty much went with the flow of the majority of this show and had a funny and charming isolated story. I really did like it their focus on Hina. While my favorite character is of course Isumi I still like most of the other characters in this show and Hina is very cute in a tsundere way. She hasn’t been featured a lot in this show for a character that is given her kind of personality. I really do wish they’d show her some more. She’s much less of a background character then some others that seem to get featured more which kind of sounds odd. However, she doesn’t seem to be shown as much as the student council girls and Saki, which is a shame. Hopefully they won’t wait until another dedicated Hina episode to show her, which sadly will probably be the case if they ever even actually get around to having another episode for her. Still, the one they had here was pretty good and I really did enjoy watching it even if it wasn’t anything really special or chalk full of hilarious comedy.
I did think that the bit with Taiga and Azumamiya was pretty funny. I’m not a huge fan of Azumamiya, so part of what I found funny was them pointing out that not many liked him. Taiga is extremely funny even though they do the throwing petals thing every time he appears. The whole battle between them was pretty funny but thankfully it didn’t really take too much away from the Hina story, which I was afraid of.
True its nice to have a Hina episode now and then. Probably one of my more favourite characters in the series so its a little sad she gets dropped to the background so much. Do like Isumi as well so not saying anything bad there.
Hina would probably be my favorite character in Hayate no Gotoku, she just feels better than Nagi…
Andy: She’s got a background which lets her understand Hayate better… but which we’ll never get to explore in the show, but maybe they’ll touch on it more in the manga. Plus, she’s a better tsundere than Nagi, in the way that actually draws a boy’s attention (the proper mix of cool and elegant with warm and kinda shy).
But it is now guaranteed that the they’ll air the Hina birthday party episode where Hina cosplay while singing. That will be truly epic. I hope the anime studio has the guts to go all the way intruding upon Sunrise’s proporty.
Falen: They borrowed Lelouche for the anime-original festival episode - why not?
