The girls thin that Aono is planning on leaving school when they seem him head for the buss stop with his bag, so they try and stop him before its too late.
Impressions:
I was a bi t disappointed with this episode. Even without really expecting much from this show this episode still seemed to be rather stupid, as in, stupider then the other episodes. I don’t have delusions about this show, its really not one of super high quality, rather ridiculous slapstick like comedy and so forth, but it really seemed like they took that too far with this. The enemy of the week was just horrible. The others were at least a bit interesting and had a bit more of a reason perhaps to be attacking or doing whatever but this one just looked horribly stupid and really didn’t help out the episode.
The only, perhaps, redeeming bit about this episode was that they did try and focus on something a bit more serious then they had in past episodes, Aono wrestling with how much trouble he is causing everyone and the possibility he may be trying to leave the school because of that. Although, this episode really doesn’t have great characters and serious enough development so far for that to really mean much at all. In another series it might have amounted to more but if this show is to be any good, or as good as it can, it’s almost to a point where they really can’t try and focus on any serious things because they’ll just fail. If they make it more ecchi and focus on comedy then at least it might do well in its own niche, but it’ll never be something that has much quality to it. This was probably my least favorite episode so far.

You have a bunch of creepy guys with pictures of the girls handing around and you know this isn’t a good sign. Knew that you would see some problems with Tsukune feeling useless. After all just being a normal guy in a school full of super powered creatures isn’t a safe place to be.
Hopefully this all turns out. Did hear it can get more serious down the line, but with Gonzo and the ecchi force running the show hard to say what they will end up doing. But looks like we’ll be back with the manga episodes next week. Though with swimsuits and this show….lets just see how it turns out.
Maybe it was to put in perspective how Tsukune is even weaker than a random bunch of fanboys.
With the new Ending animation, it looks like the series may start to become more serious/plot-driven instead of episodic monster-of-the-week episodes in the future…
Well it can’t be helped since even a bunch of monster fanboys are still stronger than a human.
Am I the only one surprised though that with a series that has this many panty shots flying around those guys didn’t have any pictures? I mean come on in any episode there are numerous chances.
Sure hope they move into a more serious situation like the ED. Though god knows Gonzo will probably kill any tension by using a camera angle pointed right up Moka’s skirt…Still could end up being pretty interesting.
