I wasn’t going to even watch this show until someone mentioned to me how impressive it was and how much they were drawn to it. So, I decided what the hell, I’ll at least watch it even if I don’t take the time to blog it, since it was recommended to me. Well, the subs took a long time to release the episode after the recommendation, but it finally got released and I gave it a shot.
HOLY SHIT. I was just absolutely left speechless. At the end my mouth was literally just hanging open as I didn’t expect that to happen. I really thought this show was going to be some kind of touchy feely like show, getting letters from dead ones seemed like it would just mean people would be able to move on and things would be happy. However I was first shocked at the fact that the letter said the guy’s daughter killed him, and even though it’s not a stretch that she would kill again I was still stunned when the sweet, innocent guy who they focused on was murdered.
One thing I was also surprised about was it seems like the next episode will relate to this one, as the preview showed Ayase and her sister in a bed, plus its titled “Rocket” I had originally thought that they were going to be stand alone episodes, and even after the big change where it became dark I still thought it would be that way, telling a tragic and sad story but saying that’s kind of how life is, so I’m not sure how the second episode will be handled. One things for sure, I’m hooked now.
Well didn’t get around to checking it out myself. Just had the feeling it would be some depressing show that tells stories about people dying. Of course never a good thing to judge a show without watching it so can’t say much more than what was read in the entry.
Might end up being something that happens in short mini-arcs.
While people were waiting for this title many anime fans speculated that this show would run on a similar premise to that of another anime by the name of Shinigami Ballad.
I never watched that aforementioned show. What I did was to download the trailer, subbed by ainex and liked what I saw.
I am more forward to watch the first episode because one of favorite song groups, ALI Project, performs the opening theme.
Right now I’m downloading the episode from the torrent released by FTP-A fansubs.
