Yoshiyuki’s class goes on their school trip and Koko tries to spend time with him but ends up being unable to due to interruptions.

Impressions:

This episode was pretty good; it definitely seemed to set up a lot of things for later on down the road. It didn’t really have events that set this up, but just kind of showed the state a lot of the characters are in and their feelings. They have been continually showing how troubled Koko is by the way her relationship with Yoshiyuki is doing and I’m sure that is going to be a big focus later on. They are also driving up the importance of the bitch from their class who hates robots. I said it when they first introduced her and she showed a dislike for robots that she would be important. I’m sure she will have something to do with some drama involving Minatsu. Also, I’m sure Minatsu will in turn have a big effect on Koko seeing as how Minatsu is being a big part in Yoshiyuki not paying attention to her and so forth.

I will say that, especially since these subs are extremely late compared to the already finished series, I have read and spoiled myself as to the ending of this series. I won’t say anything here, as to not really spoil it for everyone else, but I will take this moment to say that I don’t really think that the ending is as bad as some people seem to say mainly because of the news of a second season. If it weren’t for a second season I can easily see how the kind of ending this has would be extremely disappointing, as it seems like nothing changes at all and nothing happens. However, seeing as there is a second season it really must makes this season’s entire purpose to be to get rid of two of the characters arcs. Now, when the second season comes along they can focus on the characters that will end up meaning something in the end, seeing as how this season concluded to characters. In other words, overall Da Capo II hasn’t failed considering there will be a second season, but if there wasn’t I can see how it would be a let down.
