Nagi hears that Hayate’s ideal girl would just be a normal girl and tires to train to become more normal so he will like her better.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was great. I had said a couple of episodes ago that I thought the show was falling into a bit of a lull, having a lot of the episodes not really be as funny as some of the previous episodes were but even though this episode didn’t really have anything too concrete in it, as in there wasn’t that much that was really important, it was still a good episode and doesn’t really fall in with some of the other more boring episodes they’ve had. Seeing Nagi and Ayumu together is always fun though, so overall I thought this episode was great.

I loved the bit at the end where they showed that Hayate was following them all along. Then of course I loved Isumi’s scene. Even though her part in this episode served no point at all she’s still one of my favorite characters so I love it when she appears. I thought it was hilarious how they actually stated that the bit at the end was just to fill time with minor characters. The thing that this show seems to do better then any other is break the fourth wall and actually explaining the point of that scene would be doing that. Still, they don’t need a reason to show Isumi for me.

I am really looking forward to the next two episodes. I just peeked ahead on next episodes preview and it seemed to effectively say there are two more episodes after this. I haven’t done much research as to how many episodes this show was going to be but once it broke the 26 episode mark I thought it would be 52 episodes, or a year long instead of three seasons, however it seems like that is indeed how things are going to play out. Of course Himegami will play a part in the conclusion, I won’t talk too much about that in this post, but I am looking forward to what will happen just because it seems like whatever it is will be rather important.
