When Kouichi meets Kai at a bookstore he asks him to take care of Mao and catches a cold on the way home, when no one else is around.

Impressions:

This episode was pretty good For the most part it is still progressing rather slowly, but it definitely is progressing so that alone is really good enough almost. They seem to just be slowing and steadily building up this love interesting conflict between Mao and Kouichi. It’s been a couple of episodes now where they have done it. Nothing big has come from it, no huge drama or anything, and really I doubt there will be for a while. However just the fact that they are slowly building it up through so many episodes definitely gives me the impression that it is going to be the overall ending. I still kind of feel sorry for Hoshino, but really it has come to the point that it should be obvious Mao and Kouichi are going to end up together. Hoshino was such a cute character too and they fit together well, she seemed to genually have a good connection with Kouichi which makes her not ending up with him all the more sad. In several harem shows or situations where there are love triangles one of the characters doesn’t always have a genuine interesting, they just fawn over the guy or something like that, but this is definitely different so really ay outcome they have is going to end up having a bit of tragedy along with it.

I am petty sure I have a clear picture as to how the characters are going to end up together now, except for Kazuki and his love triangle. As I said I think Mao and Kouichi will end up together, Mao is obviously realizing her feelings even if she isn’t exactly admitting it yet, however Kai and Shijou will end up together because Shijou mentioned having a fiancé and Kai seemed to notice her when she was walking down the street so perhaps he knows her even if she doesn’t know him. He is defiantly the kind of character that would go out with whomever he liked regardless of a set up marriage but when Mao goes with Kouichi that leaves him open for her. As far as Hoshino, I’m pretty sure she is moving away. They had that brief scene this episode of her looking sad and the voice of someone who is likely her mother saying it is already decided and there’s nothing she can do. As far as Kazuki, I don’t know yet, it will be interesting to watch.
