Tomoya tries to find people who will be friends with Kotomi, as she is extremely shy and closed off and he wants to help her.

Impressions:
This episode was rather fun to watch. It didn’t rally have anything too exciting or interesting, as it was one of the more relaxed episodes they’ve had, but that is understandable since they just finished an arc, they cant just jump into the drama or seriousness of a new arc. I’m really anxious to find out what Kotomi’s big problem is going to be. Her character is so fun to watch that it is a bit hard to imagine a sad situation for her. However, she did seem to react negatively towards mention of her parents. I ca definitely see how the focus of the series is family, as Fuko had a huge focus on her sister, Kotomi seems to have problems with her parents, and Kyou and Ryou are siblings.
Kyou and Ryou also interested me quite a bit in this episode. Although it seems as if Kotomi is being the next character really focused on, they got some interesting moments as well. Kyou actually said another rival has appeared when she saw Kotomi and my immediate thought was she was referring to herself liking Tomoya and a love rival appearing but it could also be that she is talking about a rival for Ryou. She said that she gave Ryou a chance when they were with Tomoya in the room so perhaps she is trying to get her sister a chance with Tomoya. I can see it going both ways but it seems like Ryou isn’t really an option. I mean, in the anime I’m sure he’s going to end up with Nagisa or no one essentially but from the OP Ryou looks like a secondary character while Kyou would be a character that got her own path in the game. Perhaps thing will shift, but I do think it will be after Kotomi’s arc.
On a small note I did find it interesting that he went back to calling Nagisa Nagisa instead of Furukawa. He reverted back to Furukawa right after Fuko disappeared but now he’s gone back. The little reference to Fuko was nice when Tomoya actually questioned when he started calling her that, but no matter how it happened it is nice seeing the two of them become closer. I really hope that Tomoya end sup with Nagisa in the end in a concrete way instead of ending up with more or less choosing no one, and for that to be even better it would be nice to see them getting closer and closer throughout the series.
Seems like a lot of bloggers confuse Tomoya (male lead) with Tomoyo (heroine). Not that I could blame them if there’s only one letter difference at the end.
Wow! PERFECTLY DONE screen caps you’ve here in this blog!!! I wonder which software you’re using…
Btw, Nagisa has NEVER refered to TOMOYA as TOMOYA. It’s always been Okazaki-san. Is it a ONE-WAY RELATIONSHIP at this point? Hmmm…
