This episode was pretty sad. I really don't know why either. Probably because you really get attached to the characters, then they just get torn out of the series in a really sad way. Reminds me of that part in "Air" when Michiru disappears.

Have you guys noticed that Kyo-ani has really good artwork? gonna watch every one they animate!

Yeah things are turning in a sad direction there. It's just not Fuko disappearing and how that would be for her. But the suffering of the characters as they feel the memories slipping away and not being sure why they are so broken up.

Good example of things is Sunohara. He was concerned enough to check things out at the hospital. Then coming back you think he simply forgot and that will be that. But it was deeper when the memories later weren't fully gone and he struggled with it. Got a bit of a confession that no matter how things seemed he didn't dislike Fuko. Certainly more than the comic relief at this time.

Not sure how it will finish up. Will Fuko wake up? Or will she simply vanish from everyone's memories once her sister gets married? Can't help but keep alert for the next episode.
