ef - a tale of memories - 07 

I just had to award this episode the episode of the week award. Admittedly this may not be as much as an accomplishment as some of the other weeks just because with Thanksgiving I was really busy and haven’t watched a few of the shows that came out this week so I don’t actually have as many shows to compare this to, but because of my HUGE reaction to this episode I can safely say it would have easily stood up and still won. The stuff released this week that I didn’t watch will be considered for next week though. Still, this episode just blew me away.

Really this is one of the first major drama episodes of this series. I’m a huge fan of the series and it immediately established amazing potential for drama and tragedy, however after introducing that, which by itself was a bit of drama, they spent a couple episodes just setting things up. It wasn’t boring, it wasn’t fluff or anything like that, but nothing major happened. However this episode was much different. In the two stories they seem to have going for he most part, the love triangle and then Chihiro and Renji, both of them ended with extremely high emotion drama. One of them ended with someone crying frantically to themselves and the other ended with someone on their knees in complete despair. Now, I don’t want to spoil too much in these actual EoTW posts, you can read about it on episode post, but just having two major drama events made this episode jaw dropping. I couldn’t believe it, so even though this week I didn’t get all the shows watched, I couldn’t just pass on this week because of how huge this episode was and with the way it ended I wouldn’t be surprised if I award EoTW to the next episode as well, though Clannad is sneaking up…
