Okazaki and Nagisa find that Fuuko’s sister can’t see her so they try and help Fuuko indirectly help her sister by continuing to hand out the starfish.

Impressions:
Wow….this episode was great. It started off very strongly with the continuation of this revelation that Fuuko can’t be seen by her sister. That alone was still very interesting, actually getting into her sister’s feelings about Fuuko and the situation. I loved the comparison she made to this all being like Fuuko’s dream. Of course, I don’t really think that this is actually all some dream world of Fuuko’s, but it could turn out to be something like Fuuko is dreaming and seeing the real world, so perhaps a dream for her. It’s a bit hard to explain as situations like this get very complicated very quickly. Still, it is very interesting. Really, that was all just in the beginning. The episode went into a bit of a lull with some rather happy and carefree things happening but then there was a huge development at the end when they revealed Fuuko’s condition getting worse. Plus, not only that but Sunohara saw first hand that Fuuko was more or less getting worse as people could no longer see her and were forgetting where they got the stars from. That was great. Ok, well maybe not great for Fuuko, but its great that the show reached something that would be as serious as that. I just feel so damn bad for Fuuko. Already this series has me on the edge of my seat, anxious to find out how even this first arc ends.
This episode didn’t really have a lot of super hilarious moments in it, but there were a couple of them that I loved. I thought the whole fight over dango and starfish was hilarious, the way both Nagisa and Fuuko were so passionate about it was hilarious and Sunohara and Okazaki watching the fight like spectators and commenting on it was great too. I also liked the bit with Fuuko just beating the crap out of Sunohara. The random “has mastered” comments are great too as it ads some random comedy there but it isn’t as slapstick as some other anime, it’s rather clever at times.
Tomoya is now a Fuuko master!! XD But where is the hidden skill??
