Mamoru and Ayako head to Germany in order to try and get Ayako’s Beatrice back but when they arrive they are attacked by The Silver Maria and Mamoru is kidnapped.

Impressions:
This episode really does seem to be the beginning of all the interesting things now. Of course having it be the third to last episode helps in that manner. It is nice to have the show finally come to some kind of conclusion. Already while watching this I have the last two episodes downloaded as well so knowing that I’ll soon finish it helps. However, it does seem like this has already happened before. I mean, they had a whole thing exactly like this, giving power to Beatrice except it was done without Maria and not in Germany. I hope they at least put a bit more drama and seriousness behind this event otherwise it seems rather repetitive. Overall I think this plot may be a bit out of place almost. I think the real good points this show has is the relationship between Mamoru and Ayako so that’s what I really hope they spend some time on, if they do that I think it will just help the show overall come to a better conclusion.
I was very happy to find out that the Silver Maria wasn’t exactly pure evil or anything. She seemed to explain her goal was stopping Masaki because she believed that he was doing was wrong. That isn’t really evil at all. Sure her methods may not be the most kind but as far as her as a character she really didn’t seem to be bad. If anything it kind of came across hat Masaki was a little evil because f how crazy he was acting over the whole notion of more power. Maria was just trying to stop it because she realized the possibility of Beatrice not being some super amazing justice loving thing. It seems as if she turned out to be right, so asides from her methods she really isn’t that evil, which does make her character a lot more interesting and I’m glad it is. I think it will help the show overall for her to not be pure evil, she’s not pure good either, but that’s what makes her and some aspects of the show interesting.
