Kouichi is chosen to write a screenplay for his movie club’s next project and tries to ask Hoshino to help him out, so he can get closer to her.

Impressions:

that guy. I wasn’t surprised that there was a relationship potential there, as I always thought there was, but that it was done so early without any kind of conflict was surprising and I almost don’t quite know what to think about things now. The way I see it there are three relationships that can go on now, Mao and sax guy, Hoshino and Kouichi, and Aihara and soccer girl OR Futami. Out of those three sets only one has a love triangle going. There is no conflict with the other two relationships so I’m curious to see what kind of content they get from that. It does seem apparent now that there will be a love triangle for Aihara. I’m not sure who I want him to end up with; I’d almost say the soccer girl only because they haven’t given Futami much of a personality and she treated the romance like it was nothing. Yet, that does mean that if they have left her relatively untouched she has good development potential, plus she’s the one Aihara is interested in. I’ll probably end up with Futami but I really only want that if they give good development.

I really was thinking that there was a possibility for romance between Mao and Kouichi, after all they are childhood friends, have interesting chemistry, and they seem a good match. Yet with Mao going out with the sax guy so soon I don’t really see that likely that she would dump him for the main guy, therefore making a possible love triangle or love square into two non contested relationships. However, I guess that’s not a bad thing. After all, this is pretty much a shoujo show and generally they don’t need love triangles to make interesting content, to see two different romances each non-contested will be interesting as long as it is…well, interesting. There is still a big chance for the show to be good even with non contested relationships; it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Hell, I love several shoujo shows that don’t have conflicts so I think this isn’t’ a bad thing, and really now I’m extremely interested in seeing how exactly they go about doing this. Hell, with no contest they can really focus on the relationships and not the contest. I’m looking forward to seeing how Hoshino and Kouichi together.
