Aoki tries to find ways to make his class respect them so he can be a better teacher, while Rin does what she can to help.

Impressions:
This episode was ok. I didn’t find it as funny as the first episode but it hasn’t really lost its charm or anything, it was still very funny. It seems as if it’s just going to be these episodic random event type episodes, which for this type of show is really the best. If they tried to make it any more serious it wouldn’t really be as good. I think its fine the way it is and I really do for the most part like the show. My favorite character is definitely Kuro. I was pretty sure she’d be my favorite from the OVA and the little bit I’ve read from the manga she’s definitely a fun character. It’s always a good character when you have a yuri loli cat girl, well only sometimes dressed as a cat girl. Still, she is one of the funnier parts of this show, her yuri feelings were definitely some of the funnier parts of the OVA and I hope they expand on that even more for the series because I find it hilarious.
I’m still pissed off about the damn censorship they have in this show. They had it again in this episode, as it looks like they’ll have in all of the episodes to come. It’s not even that they just block off parts with mist or something they have to do stupid things like cover the entire screen for certain scenes. It really does ruin the episode as I’m wondering what the hell is going on. The thing is I really don’t think the censorship is doing anything except pissing off the viewers. The censoring doesn’t really make the show any less controversial for some people. I’m not going to get into why I don’t think the show is that big of a deal but really the censorship isn’t covering up the parts of the show that may cause some people to have a fit over it. Sure it may help a bit towards making it more acceptable but I sincerely doubt that it actually would make any ort of difference. The questionable content is still there so now instead of just leaving it in its full capacity to be judged, it’s still judged just as harshly but with even less for the people on the other side of the spectrum. I really don’t think it helps anything, it pisses off those that don’t think the show is a crime against humanity and it’s not going to change the minds of those who do. If you are going to have something be questionable in any aspect, violence, sex, controversial themes then just go for it all the way. Don’t try and back out of it to make it acceptable because it just won’t work in any way.
The one positive about the censorship is that the animation staff wanted to leave in original content and not make the presentation of the story suffer because of standards.
And we have plenty to look forward to in the DVD releases.
I’m still amazed with the quality of the art and brightness of colors. If only StrikerS was like that — although -those- DVDs releases are getting a nice revamp.
