Okazaki helps Nagisa try and to find members for the theater club by asking people individually, due to the student councils intervention in prohibiting the from using fliers or posters.

Impressions:
This episode was absolutely amazing. It not only had some amazing comedy in it but it was the first time they more or less revealed what the character arc was going to be about, which did rather surprise me a bit. I didn’t really think too hardly of who the ghost girl was going to be so I guess considering I didn’t think about it I would have been surprised by most people. Still it was very interesting to find out the truth about Fuko. Well, of course they haven’t actually said it’s a fact but it’s pretty obvious now. Which actually is pretty interesting in itself, the fact that they revealed at the beginning of the arc that she is a ghost who is in the hospital. She’s like the Ayu of Clannad in multiple ways. Still, it was very interesting on multiple levels that they effectively turned a character that was completely centered on comedy due to her very very weird nature and mad it serious in the blink of an eye. When she started to say in a kind of trance how she’s always at the school the mood just instantly changed and even though it was sudden like that it didn’t really loose any quality, it was still extremely interesting and just drew me into the story.
This episode had definitely had my favorite comedy bit so far in the series. The whole thing with it seeming like Nagisa was asking out the other girl, I forget her name was absolutely hilarious. Again I was watching this in a public place at my school, with headphones on of course, and seriously had to hold my mouth to stop from just bursting out laughing. I was laughing throughout the entire scene and just the way that the class rep reacted to Nagisa obliviously asking her to help with the theatre club was genius. It wasn’t even funny for the fact that it was necessarily yuri, just the fact that Nagisa had no idea what was going on when she was asking a harmless question yet because the information the class rep got she was freaking out. It was just….just brilliant. One of the best parts of this episode next to the revelation about the ghost thing.
I’m glad that they featured Tomoyo and Kotomi in this episode even though in the end they pretty much revealed that there was going to be a focus on Fuko, due to her ghost story thing. I really like all the characters and for different reasons as well. I hope Tomoyo is featured a bit more, although she’s only being included as a comedy bit now with Sunohara challenging her, I thinks he’s shown to be a very interesting character for more then just her odd quirks like some of the other characters. She looks like she has a lot of potential to have some serious story behind her and is just non odd enough that if I had to pick anyone asides form Nagisa for Okazaki to end up with or be a main focus I’d probably pick her. Kotomi is also interesting but so far it’s just because she’s really weird. She hasn’t shown too much in terms of things that can make her character have a serious story later on like Tomoyo does. Still, she’s weird enough while not being crazy to just be a very fun character.
Is it me or do I see a Little Busters! parody (complete with lifebars, status and equipment) there? ^_^;
That Little Busters reference was priceless.
