A new teacher stars his first day at an elementary school when Rin, a student in his class, declares she will be his girlfriend to his complete shock and objection.

Impressions:
I thought this episode was hilarious and this is definitely a series that I am looking forward to watching more of. Its not that I like it FOR the loli ecchi parts. I don’t like it because of that I just think that they do a good job in making use of that topic to create some very funny situations. I defiantly laughed out loud in several parts of this episode and it was just fun to watch, you have to accept it for not being something more complex then just using that content for humor. Hell there were even some scene sin this episode that stuck me more as a bit touching and it just overall was fun to watch. I’m not really going to go into it much further, after all it’s more or less a topic that you can’t change someone’s mind on, so I don’t really see the point in anyone trying to convince someone else that it’s not bad or it is bad. I just think people need to lighten up. It’s not like the show is about Rin and Aoki actually having a relationship. They aren’t romantically involved; it doesn’t depict that or even hint that that’s where it’s going. It just sues some content like that for completely humor based. Whether or not you even like the humor it’s not that bad for a show to have this content if used in this way.
I did notice, at least I think, some of the censoring that was mentioned before this series was released. I know it was a concern when the news came out after the OVA that the series would tone down some of the more questionable parts of the show, and although there may not be a direct objection to not being able to see things like that a lot of the comedy and fun of this show comes from drawing on content like that. If they take it out the show itself will suffer. I did notice the “censoring” I don’t think that when all three girls flashed their pantsu they would have normally covered it up, however from what I could tell there wasn’t a huge impact on the show because of any of this. Then again, you can’t really tell if there was a whole scene they didn’t do or did differently, but just covering things up, although I don’t think really that necessarily, didn’t seem to impact things too much. Then again, I haven’t kept up with he manga or anything to I don’t have a direct comparison. STILL! I THINK IT WOULD BE MUCH MUCH BETTER WITHOUT THE CENSORSHIP!
I was a bit surprised about how dark this episode was compared to the rest o f the content and its overall theme. Not that it was nearly as dark as some other shows and comparatively its not that dark, but for a show focusing on rather slapstick comedy for them to have a focus on an abusive teacher that caused a girl to become completely alienated by everyone that she had to effectively close herself off from the rest of society plus the focus on the general distrust that was sowed into Mimi and Rin and any others was a bit surprising. Now, I’m not sure that any of this focus is actually going to keep throughout the series. Now that they have Mimi back there isn’t too many goals for any plot in this show, its just random isolated episodes really. Still, even if it doesn’t appear in other episodes to come it was still just surprising to see it here.
I totally agree with you. The censorship, and they way the censorship is displayed is really inappropriate and distracting. I failed to understand the first half of the episode because of it, and it most definitely impacted on the humour. Why couldn’t they just have a smaller censorship board, like Hayate no Gotoku, or just mosiac it or something.
A shame really, because this series does look very fun.
The censorship is very good yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh
