Mamoru and Ayako try and escape from the collapsed cave, but have trouble due to Beatrice blocking devices that are scattered all over the area.

Impressions:

This episode was great. I loved that they finally freaking kissed. That’s the longest I’ve ever seen someone go from confessing and going out to actually kissing in a show. Either they end with the confession or start with it and make the kiss come less then 18 episodes later. Still, although it seemed a bit late it was nicely done and I really like the relationship they’ve built around those two, as really it’s my favorite part of the show, because some other aspects do seem a bit lacking.

I’m still a bit surprised on the focus they are giving to Emel. Really it seemed as if after her arc where she was introduced and the little bit where she was directly trying to seduce Mamoru that her part would be over. However not only has she been included in the show as pretty much a regular, she seems to be continually getting attention based one her feelings for Mamoru…still. I’m unsure of how to feel exactly because in a way it feels like they’ve already dealt with the problem and question of her feelings for Mamoru and what she is going to do about them, but when she was searching in the forest she had so much drive to help Mamoru that I’m sure they have to almost give her another arc that focuses on the same thing the other did. I just hope it doesn’t distract too much form some of the other things, because as I said it feels as if they’ve already done Emel’s arc before.

It looks like the main focus for a majority of the show will be on the Silver Maria. However there does seem like quite a few episodes left to just focus on it only. With how they’ve set thing sup I really hope that they spend the rest of the time focuses on The Silver Maria and then on the relationship stuff they’ve already built between Mamoru and Ayako. As I said, the kiss in this episode certainly did make things more interesting.
