Hirono finds out that Miya goes to the same school as him and tells her about his career while Renji meets up with Chihiro and learns of her tragic secret and situation.

Impressions:
OH MY GOD! THIS SHOW IS AMAZINZG. Ok, I was taken a bit by surprise for some shows this season but this is by far easily in the top two of my favorite shows and I’m really thinking it almost beats Clannad in my picks. I mean Holy hit, this episode was breathtaking. The animation, music and general theme of everything is…wow. Maybe writing this after being blown away by the show isn’t the bet but it’s been a while since I finished this episode and I’m still just pumped form seeing this show. I think it’s just amazing. It’s got the makings of excellent tragedy and drama and romance. I mean, it may have some comedy in bits by I can tell right now that this is mainly going to be a tragedy and drama anime and to be this…captivated by the show off the bat is very surprising.
I really see Chihiro’s story being the entire center of this show and where most of the interesting things come from, however I also don’t’ expect this show to completely disregard everyone else. There seems to be a continual theme in the OP and ED and just the pacing that there are the three main girls all with almost separate stories. However only Chihiro’s has really become interesting. Chihiro’s twin doesn’t even really have a story yet and the other girl seems like is involved in a regular relationship with Hirono, having things eventually develop. Chihiro was interesting but this memory thing just takes center stage and I really can’t see anything else standing a chance. It has such great potential for everything.
Speaking about her situation directly I’m pretty sure that she’s not going to be cured. Really it’s not realistic for someone to have that disorder to be cured just because of being around someone or any relationship Renji provides. I think it would actually really cheapen the show if they did that. With that said the fact it’s not going away any relationship that happens or just the general situation she is in just begs for amazing tragedy and drama that I’m sure will be amazing. I expect someone to die from the feel the OP and ED gives and I’m not sure if Chihiro is involved in that. As I said the other girls story aren’t that interesting, if one of them died it would make them much better but with Chihiro’s situation already being interesting it could just be more wood on the fire if one of them died, fitting the whole them about memories and leaving behind feelings and sorrow.
I do have to note the ED because I have literally listened to it a hundred times. It has some rather bad engrish but the song itself is freaking amazing and its connection to the show is great. Half of the feelings and anticipation I have of the show come from the feel that the ED gives out, saying things like don’t look back on the sorrow I left behind.
ahh, spoilers (*quickly scrolls to the end*) haha :P
is this show really that good? I mean I’ve yet to see episode one >.
Ptth, not THAT bad of spoilers, I didn’t say what condition it is :D
I really like it, then again in looking back at what other people’s opinions are of shows I sometimes like shows others don’t, but I really do think this is a great show.
