Lulubell launches her attack on the exorcists in order to steal and destroy Mei Ling’s Innocence before it can pose a more serious threat to them.

Impressions:
Well damn… I wasn’t expecting that to happen at all. I had really thought and more or less had really hoped that Mei Ling would retain her Innocence and become an exorcist. It seemed like a very useful power and one that could just make situations more interesting. Still, I was pretty much just stunned when it was destroyed. I really wanted her to keep it. Now it’s not just the fact that they can’t use that power anymore, her character is effectively useless and we’ll pretty much never see her again. Although there is a second season and all, it doesn’t matter if they had a thousand more episodes if she doesn’t have any power then it doesn’t really help. Really it was quite a shame because I did like her character just as a character based on her personality, not just the power. However, it was impressive that the show would do that in a way, as it’s pretty permanent and kind of devastated her, so at least that was good.
It does seem as if things will pretty much fall into a bit of a lull now. Especially with it confirmed that there will be a second season, they really aren’t in a rush to finish anything up. The Lulubell segment, for now, seems to be done. Although, I’m not quite sure why. Her mission was to stop them from getting to Cross, and she had a side mission along the way effectively, but now the side mission is gone it’s almost like they completely forgot about he fact she was originally sent after the exorcists themselves. At least it seems its over, I am interested a bit in her hesitation to do what the Earl said, but they didn’t expand on it enough to really mean anything yet. I think it’s interesting when they have the Noah family have a story and actually have more or less a character. I she has doubts or feelings, it won’t necessarily redeem her character and mean that she’ll become good, but it will still just make things more interesting in general.
Yes, a very interesting episode. I was not expecting that to happen at all, I was hoping that Meilin would become an exorcist as well. Too bad really, but impressive nonetheless.
me either.it’s quite unbelievable and surprising that mei ling’s innocence was destroyed, and i felt pretty sad and disappointed though.
Nut it was quite fair enough as both side lost an impressive figure–lulubell lost mimi, black order failed to keep mei ling.
no wonder they put mei ling, mimi and lulubell together in a scene in the ending song part.
even still mei ling’s crystal ball vanished,i hope that another innocence would fit her again as the flash in her crystal ball once showed that she wears a black order outfit standing among bodies.i mean producers won’t make an arc out of nothing, apart from showing who lulubell really is,there would be something else.absurd, isn’t ? :)
If Meilin did happen to acquire the abilities and her exorcist weapon, the show wouldn’t have needed anymore development or story line. They basically win. Because then with a refined weapon, she’d probably be able to see who contains the Heart Innocence, in the distant future and just look for the person.
correct me if I’m wrong
but I got the feeling that Lulubell is somehow…different from the other Noah
I mean she is never shown with them together…only in her cat form
and also a sentence from in ep. 41 got to here from Allen
( If you die ,sureley someone will grieve for you)
Maybe she isn’t so ‘bad’ after all
only time wil tell
on the other hand
in the manga she never appeared until now ,what I find disapointng because her character is quite intresting in a way
ooh shoot I forgetr something :’)
also she looked like…SHOCKED or sad when Mimi was hit , I don’t think a other Noah would be so sad if a Akuma died
Noo! I love mimi!! shes such a loyal maid!!
