Tsukasa continues to have trouble with sleeping and studying, while Konata asks her dad some questions about her late mother, Kanata.

Impressions:

This episode was pretty good. I liked a lot of the stuff in the last episode more, but this one certainly had some very funny parts of its own. I really liked the segment they had with Tsukasa and getting to sleep. It surprised me a bit because they had a very similar segment last episode about the same topic, Tsukasa and her problems with sleeping and waking up, so to see another segment on the same topic but with really fresh material was great and hilarious. I also thought Konata asking her dad about lolicons and causing it to come up with a difficult and deep question for him was hilarious, saying how someone like Kagami would just say who cares but he took it really seriously.

I really liked the segment they had with Kanata. It was pretty unexpected but done really well, as it wasn’t all just some flashback but kind of neat to see her as a ghost watching them, and reacting the exact same way as Konata when Sou said something. Plus, it was a bit sweet to see some of the stuff they were talking about which really isn’t a feeling they have been focusing on with the show at all, but it was still done nicely.

I think it should e rather obvious that this segment of Lucky Channel wasn’t very good. After all, it really didn’t have anything at all in it. I was rather surprised how little there was though. I wasn’t really expecting hardly anything from this episode’s segment pretty much because the previous one was so great; the pattern so far hasn’t been two big segments in a row. Still, although I wasn’t expecting anything I was still disappointed. They could have at least had something, they didn’t show Akira at all, just the director or producer saying some stuff and them cutting out, so I’m really disappointed even though I had really low expectations, but its ok a little bit just because of how good last episodes Lucky Channel was.
