Lenalee tires to protect Me Ling against Mimi’s attack when she tries to ascertain the Innocence’s power and steal it before it can be turned into a weapon.

Impressions:

This episode was rather good I thought. It did a good job of setting up for the final fight and climax of the season. I’m pretty sure this season is heading for an end with the conflict with Lulubell settled, as they’ve been dealing Lulubell for quite some time I think it would be a bit of a waste if they didn’t finish her off in this season, as they have plenty to focus on next season without worrying about her. As far as setting up, this episode did a great job. It wasn’t nearly as boring as some set up episodes for many shows are, as not only did it get things ready for the big fight, it had a rather good one of its own. It also kind of instilled some thoughts and feelings for Mimi’s situation, as they kind of re told the story of what happened to her, perhaps buying a tad bit of sympathy. Plus the fact that she was abandoned will make it interesting to see what she tires to do versus what Lulubell her self will do, as it looks like she’ll finally actually fight and not just flee after a minor squabble, like they’ve shown in the past.

I am a bit worried with how much they are going to actually use Mei Ling. It’s pretty obvious she’s going to be used a lot for the coming up episodes, as I expect for the matter with Lulubell to be ended this season, which should be in three episodes for now. However, even if she’s going to be used a lot, and be vitally important now, I still have a bit of a fear and feeling that she is going to be a bit disregarded. They keep commenting on how great her power is and the joke I made last post was that it’s too bad they don’t have an exorcist that can actually stop and rewind time. Obviously, that refers to Miranda who has this great power but they’ve hardly ever included her the tiniest bit. After the episode she was in where they introduced her, which was also where they introduced Road and the concept of the Noahs, she was never seen again except for one episode that was just fluff and dealing with her finding her way to the order. It’s really a shame and not only do I hope that Miranda becomes more important and included in the next season, but I hope Mei Ling won’t suffer the same fat after this little arc is over.
