Impressions:
I thought this OVA was great. It was really funny and very nicely put together I thought. I do plan on watching the series so I thought that this was a good taste as to what it will be like, hopefully if nothing too terribly much is changed, as I talk about below. Really this OVA showed itself to be a great comedy, and other issues aside I found it very funny and really enjoyed it. It really was of great quality, as it looked nice animation wise and the content, again, was just funny. I really just loved all the ecchi comedy and found it hilarious. Not that I liked it because it was ecchi, I didn’t like it because of seeing the lolis, it was just genually funny and it’s a shame if that got wasted because people ere too uptight about them being young.
I do think that a lot of people over react to the content and focus of this show and its manga. I mean, I understand why some people would fid it controversial, it defiantly is one of the biggest steps towards the direction it focuses on, but still I really don’t think its that bad. It’s not like anything actually happens regarding a relationship between the girl and the teacher. That would be different. This isn’t hentai, and it’s not insinuating that the teacher is actually doing anything with the girl. Its really jut comedy based on the things she is doing. If anything happened back form the teachers point It would be different and I would see what some people may be concerned about, but really to me I don’t think its that big of a deal. Again, mainly because f the point that the feelings of attraction between the loli girl and the adult guy are not mutual, its all coming from the girl and the guy rejects them, therefore it is solely for comedy.
One thing that many others are addressing regarding this is the news that the actual series will have a lot of the ecchi and manga references dulled down a bit, which really is a shame. Really, right now not regarding any inkling towards liking lolis or not or in whatever way, the fact that the show is going to be pretty much censored really kind of sucks. A lot of the content of the show is heavily based on that, and if it’s taken way the show in general will just not be as good. If it can’t use the jokes to their fullest extent due to any of the dulling down, then they won’t be as funny and the quality of the show will suffer. Regardless of anyone’s position on issues regarding lolis, the fact that a show has to be edited like this which will ultimately affect its quality is a shame I think.
That OVA left me speechless in more ways than one. I trust the series will be out very soon, are you going to be blogging it full time?
I’ll be blogging it for sure someway. I’m going to try and cut down on some of the shows that I blog completely episode by episode like they have been on the past and do periodic posts on them after important events or about characters and specific things, so on, so I can give Xeby-chan some post time, so I’m not sure yet. I’ve yet to hardly look at whats being released at all, but I’ll be blogging it someway for sure.
