Kanda, Mari, and Tiedol are traveling when they meet a man who tells them about an interesting mansion he is visiting. Upon arrival they find that the surrounding town has all been whipped out by Akuma.

Impressions:
I was a bit surprised by this episode. Not really because it had anything shocking in it. In fact, it didn’t really seem to have much along those lines at all. That’s what really surprised me. They have recently been dealing really close with a Noah member with Allen’s group of people and I was really hoping they would just jump into that with Kanda as well. Although they managed to show another Noah guy, it still wasn’t the same as if they would have confronted him, which is what I would have like to see. This episode almost felt useless. It seemed to go back to the way some episodes were in the past where they didn’t have much to do with the plot at all and just focused on random Akuma. That’s really what this episode was. I guess it didn’t really surprise me so much that they would have this episode, but that they would have it this late into the series after they had some of the previous episodes be about plot seemed a bit off.
I really am starting to think that there may in fact be another series or something. It doesn’t seem like they can conclude this in the time remaining at all, and in fact I’m almost leaning towards wanting there to be another series. Although I would love for it to actually make an end there are so much left that these remaining episodes wouldn’t be able to cover really well. Hell, they’ve taken up nearly five episodes dealing with that one Noah member and they still have all of them remaining to defeat or really confront. Road is important as we’ve seen a bit more from her so she’s got to get some attention. There would almost have to be a Noah defeated an episode and then the earl dealt with in one of those episodes to fit it all in and I think that is just rushing things way too much. Hell, we haven’t even seen two of the generals yet and Allen has yet to find Cross.
Rememeber that an anime doesnt have to have a definate ending, infact an open ended ending promotes the source material in many cases(coughinuyashacough)
