When Riku is all alone for New Years, Mina, Tsukasa, and Sayuri all head over to his house in order to keep him company.

Impressions:

This episode was ok, however not much really happened in the end. I was expecting a little more with he series coming a bit to a close, but I am understanding what the situation is a bit more now. It’s almost like this is the calm before the storm. They spent some episodes prior to this and this one really, setting up that Sayuri has feelings for Riku. They didn’t try and hide the fact nor did they go at it subtly when they were dealing with Mina and Tsukasa, but they are defiantly showing that Sayuri has feelings too. I’m really warming up to her character a lot more. At first, near the beginning of the show I said that I didn’t care who he ended up with as long as it wasn’t Sayuri, but now I’m almost leaning towards wanting him to be with Sayuri. It’s a bit curious about how her character has come across. I think it’s because she started to show weakness almost. In the beginning Sayuri was super perfect and an idol of the school, and although is not like she ahs lost any talent she has for doing things, she’s definitely come across as more human I think. Showing her being confused about her emotions and feelings for Riku is definitely becoming interesting. They didn’t have this dynamic with the other girls as the two of them realized they like Riku from the start, however now that they have shown Sayuri progress, I’m cheering her on a bit more.

Although nothing really happened plot wise or anything that really ended up having a long term effect, it was still interesting and rather amusing. I laughed fairly hard when they first showed the kind of situation that Riku was in, with the three girls who have feelings for him all showing up at his house because he was going to be alone. It is a very amusing situation and did turn out to be rather amusing.
