Makoto deals with the result of her failure to be able to pilot Nebula, and learns of her fate regarding her position in Modenkind.

Impressions:

Wow, this episode was excellent. Although it didn’t have any actual physical fights with the IDOLS or anything, no real confrontations, it was still really exciting and just interesting to watch. I was expecting for there to be some Makoto advancement sooner or later, but nothing this emotional. Having things such as doing all of her piloting in order to be praised by someone but never achieving it, I didn’t really care about the times she came off as kind of a bitch. I felt so sorry for Makoto and I was surprised at how emotional things got when she was crying and being held by the Manager. It was really pretty interesting was great for her character. She was really the only character that was mysterious in that way. The others don’t really ha e much of a post that can still be touched on, so it was nice to see this get attention.

Makoto joining Triabeater was just shocking. I didn’t really even possibly consider her doing that. I’m just I shock and I can’t wait to see how this affects other things and when everyone at Modenkind finds out. It just seems so sudden and a bit unexpected. Although, really I can’t say I blame her. I mean, looking at things without regards to sides or good or evil, I would have done the same thing. All she’s known for her entire life is being around iDOLS and she’s been an iDOL Master for what is likely more then 10 years. If that’s the only thing you have really known your entire life, and you spent your time being the best you possibly could to please someone else and then all of a sudden you couldn’t pilot anymore, I’d be devastated too. It makes perfect sense that she would then go to an organization that would allow her to pilot an iDOL instead of staying in the organization and doing desk work and always being reminded of the only life you knew being unavailable to you. So although it seems kind of evil and bad for Makoto to join them, it makes sense and I don’t blame her.
