Hayate heads to school with Nagi for his first day, overjoyed at just the thought of being able to go to school.

Impressions:

I do have to take a moment to say how pleased I am with how everything turned out. I said it before that I was just really pulled into this show with wanting Hayate to get into school. It would be a great new setting for more content and would allow for easier interaction with other characters. So far everything has seemed to work out great. I loved this episode and it looks like things will continue to be very fun and interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if school becomes the primary setting now instead of the mansion just because it allows interacting with so many more characters then the mansion allowed for. Really, this show has a done a great job of moving up from a show that was just hilarious already. The show was great to start with but now it really seems to have me invested in the show. I’m drawn into it so much more then I was before and I’m really caring what happens to these characters. I’m just surprised about how good a job the show has done with drawing me in.

I’m curious to see what will happen with the combat butler thing. I wasn’t quite expecting a character like him to appear and I wouldn’t be surprised if he played an even bigger part later in perhaps shaping what Hayate will become. He’s obviously, sot start with, better then Hayate. However I hope that they do in fact show that his determination or whatever will allow him to win. I wasn’t quite looking forward to there being so many people better then Hayate that he would spend the entire series trying to catch up, as it wouldn’t be as fun as the way things are now.

I loved the flower petal guy. Well, it wasn’t so much his character that was funny, because he really didn’t actually end up doing much. However I just loved the whole someone actually throwing flower petals at him. It’s rather clichéd to have the flower petals flowing around someone like that but when they actually showed the person with a basket throwing them for fake atmosphere it was just hilarious.
