The cultural festival is in full swing and Riku has to run all over helping out, struggling to find time to go see Sayuri in her play.

Impressions:
I was surprised at how much this episode showed Sayuri caring about Riku. She showed much more of an interesting and showed her feelings a lot in this episode compared to the previous ones. She really started out the series as being one of the only girls, well, the one out of the main three, that DIDN’T have an interest in Riku. She remained a rather unreachable untouchable girl because of her popularity, which made any relationships having to deal with her interesting because of that boundary. I still think it would be interesting to see more shows animate one of the other girls’ routes, one that isn’t the main girl such as Sayuri. It’s rather obvious in most games to see how the main girl is, and they always seem to go for her story, rather then the others which can be just as interesting. Still, it’s interesting to see the development that has taken lace in such a short time. Unlike the other girls who started off liking Riku, showing Sayuri’s gradual warming up to him as been much more enjoyable to watch. So as far as actual characters and stories, Sayuri is much more interesting, but it still falls under the topic of the main girl winning.
Asides form all of that though there were some very fun parts of this episode. This series I still LOVE the bread lady character. She is one of my favorites even though she only appears briefly, and isn’t like a real character who has a back story or anything like that, she’s just funny. I did like the competition thing between Tsukasa and Mina. It was interesting to see them fighting so openly like that for Riku. Although, that does bring me to the topic of Tsukasa. I’m still disappointed in the way they are handling her story. I think she’s a great character, and wouldn’t mind her winning, but it’s just something bout the approach they sued that seems to make things…well…not so good. She’s technically going out with Riku, she confessed and Riku basically said yes, so it’s like they are boyfriend and girlfriend technically, but everything is still the ol’ clichéd one way love of Tsukasa trying to win him over. I don’t really mind either way, but they are mixing them together and it just doesn’t fit. They should have either never had them be officially together like they are now and had this kind of behavior, or show some more actual boyfriend and girlfriend moments. Although that would take away form other girls screen times I think its necessary for their situation. They don’t have to stay that way, they can break up or whatever, but it just seems out of place the way it is now.
