Everyone recoils in horror when Shione appears at school with her hair normal, and try and think of what the reason could be for this earth shattering event.

Impressions:

Wow, this episode was absolutely hilarious. I’m really glad they had at least one episode that was really solely focused on just fun and relaxing things, especially after the string of serious episodes involving Johan. Although I was expecting, and still hoping, for some relaxing episode that only focuses on Mamoru and Ayako’s relationship, this episode is ok too. I just found the whole thing hilarious, as Shione really did look drastically different with her hair straight and how big of a deal people made out of it was just great, treating it like a national disaster and crisis. Everyone’s theories on why she did it were pretty funny, especially since they were theorizing right next to her and they didn’t even ask her why. Of course, they did manage to mix in a little bit of sentiment, but the episode could have easily done without it and it didn’t really help. This episode was much better suited to comedy, which it did end up portraying rather well.

I still want there to be some dedicated episodes, or at least one, about Mamoru and Ayako’s relationship. Although I keep saying this, and partially want it just because I enjoy the romance aspect of things, I also think it would be rather beneficial to the story. After all, a bit part of what holds the motivation for Ayako and Mamoru though all the events is their relationship. If that is shown stronger I think they will be able to go through some of the events better. Hell, just one episode where they actually go on a date. They’ve already kissed, and yet it doesn’t seem like anything has really changed.

It seems like they aren’t going to waste any time getting back into some of the more eventful…events. With the grandfather coming, there are surely to be some crisis, but I’m not sure what. I’m a tad confused as to whose grandfather it is. I had thought, when they were explaining the picture of him, that it was the president and vide president’s grandfather, who was an acquaintance with Ayako’s parents, but perhaps it was the other way around. They said some things about Ayako’s grandfather, but it seems like the interesting figure is her uncle so I’m really unsure of what part the grandfather will play. I think the mansion is his, or was left to Ayako by him. I’m not sure if there was a sour relationship there or not, as there was between Ayako and her parents. Basically, there is a lot of hazy information so it will be interesting to see what part he plays, as I wasn’t really expecting much from him I just hope they keep the really funny and just relaxing moments in the show like this episode gave us.
