Yorito takes Matsuri to his house after he finds her unconscious after her confrontation with an unknown person and learns about what she really is.

Impressions:

Wow, this episode was great. Well, ok maybe not so much the episode itself, it was ok, but so far the story and premise of this show is so god damn amazing and interesting to me, that this episode which advanced it further was great just because it did that. I‘m getting so nervous watching this show just because I really do desperately want to know what happens. If the entire series were out now I would drop everything and just marathon the whole thing. I find it really interesting as to what the hell is going to happen. I probably wouldn’t feel this kind of draw to the show if it were just a normal school romance show, but the whole Yaka thing makes everything so much more interesting and complicated. It makes all of the relationships more complicated and interesting because of the complications that they would run into. I really really want Yorito and Matsuri to end up together, but unlike in a normal romance show there isn’t just the whole problem of them realizing feelings for each other, but this whole weird Yaka thing going on. Not to mention the fact that there are people after her, so we have on one hand the romance and the other the mystery behind what she is and why people are after her.

One of the reasons why this show makes me so damn nervous is just that I already love Matsuri so much, and I am a bit of a romantic so I want her and Yorito to end up together. However because of the Yaka thing I can see so easily the show going so many different ways. I can see the scenarios in my head, but I have no idea which one they will head to. And even so, giving this shows writers history with Kanon and Da Capo, there could easily be things I didn’t see coming. I just really want to know how things are going to play out. Some of the main possibilities I see is that Matsuri will die/fade away and be gone forever. She will leave Yorito with memories and he will be better off for having met her and may end up with someone like Mana or just leave that unseen, but the main thing is her leaving him with memories and him being better off. Or, she could somehow be cured. Some magic could happen and she could become a human. I don’t know how, but the show hasn’t begun so I’m sure there are more supernatural things to come that could be used to turn her human. Hell, maybe they’ll come across seven magic stared-spheres and get a wish or something, whatever the cause she could turn human and she and Yorito will end up together looking at the sky. Those are the main two possibilities I see. As to how they get there, I don’t really know, but I’m really nervous and excited to see. I’m a bit scared of the fading away possibility just because a bittersweet ending like that isn’t at all uncommon in anime, and even though it really may be a good ending, I don’t care I want them to end up together.

On a smaller rather unrelated note, Yorito does have one hell of a cool ceiling. They showed it in the first episode but I didn’t say anything, but now I do. It really is a pretty damn cool ceiling, even if you aren’t obsessed with the sky as much as he is. I would think for anyone it would be a cool ceiling. I wish mine was like that.
