Impressions:
What the hell is conceivably wrong with you people that say this show is crap. My god, were you dropped on your head when you were a baby. I absolutely loved this show and its one of my favorite shows this season. I think it’s great. It just boggles my mind at the people that say this show is absolute crap; I can’t believe how incredibly close minded people are. I think it’s great; it’s hilarious that the show just talks about random nonsense. Sure it has no plot or super in depth characters that result and affect the plot with multiple layers and twists and whatever the hell you narrow minded idiots expect every god damn anime to be. It’s not trying to be that damnit. It’s supposed to just be about nothing. It’s supposed to be fun. Ever fucking heard of that word damnit. It’s just an enjoyable anime to watch and have fun while watching it. My god, it’s just supposed to be a relaxing, charming, and cute show that is funny because of some of the random nonsense that the characters talk about. The characters are great, Konota and Miyuki stand out the most it seems, but that’s just one episode. All of them are sure to have great moments as the show lends itself to be all about the different views and things the characters do. All of them are unique enough from each other that they just work together exceptionally well. Konota is a great character, funny and fairly unique while making most of the show, or at least this episode but the way they work together is one of the best things to see. I know I’m kind of going on a rant here, but I’m just surprised and pissed of at people who say this show is crap. It’s not, period. You may not like it, fine. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean that it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I hate people who are so damn narrow minded that if they don’t like it they basically say that the ENTIRE show is crap for everyone. I loved the show, and have heard a couple others say the same. I wont rant too much more on this, because if people are narrow minded enough to not see this show for what it is and is succeeding in being then they are going to be too narrow minded to change their mind about it or even try and understand the concept of the show having good points despite their personal opinion. I’ll just end this topic on saying that I love the show. Its great how random and funny it is, because that’s what it TRIES to be. It focuses on that and I think they made the randomness fit great in making this show enjoyable and FUN to watch.
Speaking of Konota, my god I’m in love. I want to marry Konota. She is one of the most awesome characters I have ever seen in any anime, and this is just the first episode. It, again, is still part of the whole theme of the show with the characters being very fun to watch and the whole show just focusing on being fun and crazy and just entertaining, but her character is great. The way she likes anime, video games including MMOs it seems, and even adult dating sim games. She’s like the perfect otaku’s dream girl. She will continue to remain my favorite character throughout this show, no doubt about it. It’s not really something surprising though, she’s likely up there for most of the intelligent people who are smart enough to not be so damn narrow minded and enjoy the show. She is one of the more eccentric and unique of the characters, so it’s a no brainier she’d stand about and be a fun character to watch, but still. My god, I want to marry her and make her mine.
The Lucky Channel was another thing that I thought was pretty funny. It again falls into the category of just being something that’s there for the hell of it. Everything doesn’t have to be a mind blowing psychological and in depth plot. This show is just for fun period, but I’ve ranted about that above. The Lucky Channel seems almost more wild then some of the other stuff and the rest of the show, but I still thought it was great. I love Akira; she seems to be just a great character. I hope they show the Lucky channel more just because she really is fun to watch, in a bit different way then the others were. She seems very…crazy, going from acting super cute to freaking out and getting all pissed. She’s like some tsundere that goes between the two much faster then anyone else, but again a lot of the charm of her character seems to just come from the fact that she is, like the show, just there to e crazy and fun to watch.

The vast majority of viewers I know thought the first episode was the “worst” so far, as nearly everyone thought the later ones got even better. If you like random anime and video game references and more Konata otaku-ism, I believe you may enjoy what’s coming up. ^_^
Thanks for saying what I feel. This is a great show, especially once you get the subs and can understand everything they say. But the humor is kind of mature and won’t appeal to everyone. Anyway, I want to put in a word for Hirano Aya, who I think has really nailed a voice for Konata that helps make her the appealing character she is.

So totally true! I think that in the catagory of best female characters in anime history, Konota has to be the best “otaku-mania” girl I have ever seen! 1_~* Also, I never knew that anyone could be so STUPID as to not love a show that’s JUST FOR FUN! I mean, come on people! It really doesn’t have to have the thickest plotline known to man to be a good, no, GREAT story to love! I swear, some people just piss me off.
I loved Lucky star and Konata ROX. She’s pretty special, and what she thinks is really understandable because we are otakus! This show is great, I love randomness, and the way is done makes it cuter
What always makes me laugh is that they make parodies of other shows, like Marimite or this car show that I can’t remember the name.

I’ll only respond one more time to this as I really can’t say much more in the matter. I realize that what I said contradicts itself a bit, but i wasn’t saying it in complete seriousness at all. People are narrow minded who can’t see that a show isn’t crap for everyone or great for everyone, differing opinions aren’t wrong.
