Lucia investigates the cause of the sudden increase in viruses when she is attacked by someone working with the same person who attacked them previously from Sumire’s friend’s body.

Impressions:
Wow, this episode was incredible. This episode was by far the best episode yet. It was just full of not just action and flashes of cool power, but it brought in the real presence of this new danger and plot focus. They’ve almost broken away from the viruses, now they have the lingering problem of them but more importantly are these four people who seem to know an awful lot about them and some of the corresponding powers that we’ve seen. There is first of all the guy who pretty much turned a human into a virus by taking some fragment from him, Lyla who seems to be able to spy though Lola or something, I’m really not sure what’s up with her, then the girl we saw before and also the mystery leader of it all. It’s just really shocked me how much the focus of the plot ahs changed. It was solely on viruses and I thought perhaps that the final climax of the series was just going to be about Sumire’s berserker power and Lucia’s eye, but the appearance of this evil squad is really surprising, making things a hell of a lot more interesting.
Lucia was the most surprising of this episode. They had basically shown from square one that there was something up with her eye, however she only seemed to use it to like look into people and see things about them, I thought perhaps it was just something that had to do with reading someone’s mind so she covered it up or whatever. Not only was her releasing her eye thing in this episode surprising, it did something pretty much nothing like what I expected. Not only was it almost an attack by itself but then she got all the element symbols on her arm! But what’s even more, she herself was surprised about hem! I was just in complete shock, how the hell could she not know about that? Its like she pulled out her trump cared and it did something extra. So not only do we have this whole appearance of the anti-justice squad but we have Lucia’s powers emerging. THEN, oh, it’s not over yet, and then the elements tie her in with even more things. I could understand and wasn’t too surprised by the element thing with Sumire; she seemed to be able to choose what element to use. Then, it was surprising that the guy had it, but understandable. She seemed to have two of them, if not all, and used them together even. I thought fine, maybe there’s some connection between Sumire’s powers and the ones that this guy has, but the Lucia thing really threw me off. I don’t know how the hell the elements thing with her ties in to everything.
I’m just a bit overwhelmed by this episode almost. This show started off ok, an interesting premise but got a bit boring and repetitive. But this episode just threw together so many things; I’m all riled up even a whole after watching it from everything that has happened. Hell, half of the stuff that happened in this episode would have made this one of the most interesting and best episodes of this show so far. If they didn’t have Lucia doing ANYTHING it would still be huge, but not only do we get the new evil but Lucia just explodes with character advancement. I just really hope that things don’t get boring again. I think this show is a short series, 12’sih episodes so if they resolve the whole new evil thing too soon I don’t think they can successfully make any new problem in the time, so it seems like just half way though the series they have brought out a full on confrontation with the main plot, which is surprising and a interesting move. Just, don’t loose this.
