Primula’s second arc, dealing with her history and identity as she starts to fall ill.

Impressions:
Woot, if you’ve read any of my previous entries for this show you will likely know that Primula is by far one of my favorite characters. It may be because I am a bit of a lolicon and Primula is, well, a loli. However that isn’t the ONLY reason. I really do like Primula’s character and everything about her. Yes, she’s a loli but she seems to be much different then the typical loli in a story, as she is also the loner and shy character. Sometimes that holds true but what really makes Primula’s character stand out is her history and back-story. She has such a tragic story, almost as tragic as Asa’s. Not only that but her arc and just her character in general is so integrated into everyone else’s story. Primula’s arc is linked hand in hand with Nerine’s, it’s linked with Asa’s because both her and Ama are part of the Yggdrisal program, and Ama being as such is the cause for Asa’s problems. Then, even though she isn’t that important on the surface of Kaede’s arc, this episode showed how much she cared and tried to take care of things as everything around her just fell apart. She really did show some amazing character development thought he story, going form the shy loli to trying to take care of people, and saying out in open some very important and real character realizations about if Rin being happy is enough for Kaede.
I’m a bit surprised that they showed the whole her going back to demon world thing as little as they did. I was expecting that to be the main focus of this whole episode, as it was the main arc she had, however half the episode was showing her taking care and being there for people. Which was very important too, just not expected. However they still should have shown Primula in her neko meido outfit. That was like one of the high points of the entire SERIES, and they left it out. Truly a shame. Though, I did like that they showed the part where Primula drugs Rin so she can rub up against him, that is indeed very funny and shows how much Primula changed.
Now things are going to start getting interesting. Not that they weren’t interesting already, as I’ve said before I quite like how they have done character specific episodes like this. After all its Shuffle Memories, not Really Really or Tick Tack so its going to be a recap, if you wanted all new content then you must not have read the name of the show at all. Sorry, I’ll stop ranting about that. Anyways, now that the main girls are done I wonder if they are going to have some episodes focusing on the side characters like Mayumi, the teacher, and maybe even Ama or if they are going to go into new content. I heard that there was going to be new content but ht e way things are going now it doesn’t really leave room for anything that ground breakingly new, I don’t even know if they could fit an alternate ending on because they already showed what happened before, and for an ending to be good the whole series had to lead up to it subtly, and without the basis of the series behind it the new ending may not be as good as it could. It’s probably just going to be something small, but it will be fun to see anyways.
I still think that this ED is really freaking weird. I said it before, but it’s just…odd. I haven’t seen an ED quite like it. It’s some weird version of Alice in wonderland with Primula as a chibi loli or even loli’er loli. Most EDs are just calm and show more soothing clips of the show or characters. This is just….odd. However, very entrancing as I had to watch it several times. Not just because of my Primula fanboyism, just because it’s hilarious by itself.
