Kuu tries to deal with her identity and the crisis it brings in what the point in her being in the world is.

Impressions:

Wow, this episode was huge. Not only was there a lot of drama of Kuu becoming or, should I say being an absolute angel, they also heavily focused on the relationship going on, with all characters. I thought the drama in this episode was fantastic. It was well placed and needed in the story. They didn’t really deal with the shock of Kuu being an angel last episode because she was tied up and not with Kyoshiro or Setsuna. I thought it was great the way they handled Kuu dealing with it. She seemed fine and tried to continue on with her life as normal but they actually addressed the fact that Kyoshiro said he was going to kill her eventually. I’m glad they talked about that because it’s a pretty damn big deal.

The end was huge. I wasn’t expecting that at all. For Kuu to go all breakdown like that was just shocking. It certainly makes things much more serious then I thought they’d be at this point. It shows the gravity of what these events and what Kuu’s identity has done to her, that she would go so far as that. I don’t think they actually did anything though, because he just calls her an idiot and you hear a swoosh which is likely the sound of Kyoshiro putting something around Kuu, not taking his own clothes off. It would certainly change the dynamic of their relationship if they did, but I don’t think they would have. Kyoshiro doesn’t seem like the kind of character who would take advantage of that situation like that.

It was interesting to see some jealousy coming from Setsuna. She usually acted pretty apathetic, just doing emotionless things that Kyoshiro told her to do, but when she was staring at the love note thing that Kuu had made and was almost about to destroy it. That was just amazing character development. Setsuna has always been one of the more interesting characters I think because even though she has a lot of just following orders and being emotionless, she has a very interesting side at the same time. She’s become one of my favorite characters in this show just because she does have a very interesting situation and has some emotions, as shown, just doesn’t express them very much. I just think her situation is one of the most interesting in this series. She’s been following Kyoshiro for a long time and then Kuu comes in and takes him away from her.
